OH - Pike County: 8 people from one family dead as police hunt for killer(s) #3

This is what is bugging me.

They keep making very direct specific statements and then something comes out that contradicts them. This is happening with almost every statement they have made.

They have been CLEAR.. People shot in the head execution style, most sleeping in bed.

This is what is really bugging me. Why would they say execution style at the first press conference?!

How is a shot to the extreme ties fatal? I thought that meant hands, feet

Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

Arms and legs are also considered extremities. A bullet severing a major artery could be fatal.

I am just now learning more about it by Google of course .. I did run across how a tv show had used the Dixie mafia as the storyline for the show it was all taking place supposed to be in Kentucky. I know that is a fictional story justified is but wow the similarities are real I can say that .. it maybe loosely based off of dixie mafia but no doubt something like that group exists in real life and pike county looks like the ideal homestead for this type..

I live in Alabama, the Dixie Mafia is very real. Many end up being very respected, upstanding citizens that you would never guess. There are even some police departments that have been infiltrated with some. It consists of ****s, lawyers, real estate developers, doctors, church goers, etc. Many small towns have LE that makes money from turning their back to activities.

ETA: Weird that word was censored.. Ok, some are your typical criminal type people for the censored T word.

I saw this posted earlier, but I don't know whether to believe it or not. It's from the DM, so take it with a grain of salt.

It was confirmed that there were two pit bulls in one of the houses and that in another chickens were being bred for illicit *advertiser censored* fighting and gambling operations.

Confirmed by WHO?? We still don't know if the dogs are alive.
Somebody needs to ask Leonard about the dogs, because HE would absolutely tell you  Bless his heart, he seems to think he has to let anybody interview him that's asks. Right about now though, he has to be one of LE's worst nightmares. I honestly think he is completely in denial, or better yet...completely in the dark about all of this. I think a lot gets past him. Maybe talking about his losses is a coping mechanism for him.
He's had a lot of losses, almost his entire family was wiped out in one single day. He just wants people to remember they were victims of a horrible massacre, and they were loved. :heartbeat:

I'm thinking he must have gotten his son's truck back.

I haven't seen anything authoritative about the dogs, but it was AG Mike Dewine who said that the roosters were caged consistently with *advertiser censored*-fighting.

According to Leonard Manley, when Bobby Jo showed up last Friday morning, the front door was locked and the dogs were nowhere to be found. There were at least two pit bulls, a "wolf-dog" and "coon dogs" that lived with his family members.

CRIME SCENE INFO
One incident report regarding one of the killings said the crime scene showed no signs of forced entry.

Roosters - Ohio AG Mike DeWine confirmed roosters were found in separate cages at one of the homes and suggested someone in the family may have been running a cockfighting enterprise

Marijuana - Grow operations have been found at three separate residences; LE estimate street value of plants to be $500,000; during an interview with Cincinnati radio station 700WL, DeWine described the grow sites as some of the biggest operations he’s seen in the state; Pike County Prosecutor Rob Junk told The Columbus Dispatch that operations included an indoor grow-house that sheltered hundreds of plants

(Per the Humane Society of the United States, cockfighting and associated gambling is frequently connected to illegal drug activity.)

HISTORY OF NEARBY DRUG ACTIVITY

February 2016 - A 37 lb. box of marijuana was discovered by postal worker at the Piketon Post Office. The discovery led to an investigation that unearthed a “scatter” lab that was being used to produce large quantities of hash oil at an unknown property located on Beaver Run Road.

2012 – AG DeWine issued press release announcing LE had discovered “a major marijuana grow site” in Pike County with suspected ties to a Mexican drug cartel. During the discovery, 1200 plants were destroyed by investigators and two abandoned campsites were located, which they believe had belonged to Mexican nationals.

CURRENT KNOWN THEORIES BEING INVESTIGATED BY LE
Include: Mexican cartel, gang activity, family disputes, revenge killing
They believe they are looking for multiple shooters due to the number of crime scenes

CONFIRMED INTERVIEWS CONDUCTED BY LE

Isaiah Jones - detained at gunpoint during a traffic stop and questioned for six hours
Rusty Mongold - detained and questioned about a threat he posted on Facebook prior to the murders

OTHER STUFF

Per Leonard Manley (Dana’s father), the family had 2 fierce pit bull dogs, what he referred to as a “wolf dog,” and multiple hound dogs. He said the dogs were “nowhere to be found” when Bobbi Jo arrived at a residence and discovered the bodies.

Dana Rhoden was one hour late for work on Thursday, April 21; she also worked a double-shift to help out due to a co-worker being unable to work; she worked from 8 am to 11 pm.

NEW INFO

*61 additional pieces of evidence sent to BCI crime lab for DNA, ballistics, latent print, and trace analysis; this brings the total evidence to 79 (the 18 previously reported pieces are considered “high-priority”)

*Additional search warrants were issued on 4/25/16

*LE has received 300+ tips

*215 different LEO have contributed to the investigation

PRELIM AUTOPSY REPORTS

<modsnip>I'm curious of the family relationships and dynamics between certain families/members. I can't shake the idea that one of the perps was a woman and maybe even the planner. JMO and thoughts.

This is what is really bugging me. Why would they say execution style at the first press conference?!

Arms and legs are also considered extremities. A bullet severing a major artery could be fatal.

I know, it bugged me and even the sheriff spinning the legal contact with some of the victims. It is more like a press secretary speaking than a DA and Sheriff. They are giving out incorrect info that they know will be exposed, not something that they may can control.

For all we know, the perp may be among the dead. Forensics will tell the story.

Though that doesn't account for the gun being missing. sigh...

Good job putting all that info together. I have to keep going back on these 3 Threads of info. By the time I get back I have to read another 3 pages to read that I've missed. :) Thank you

Only three pages? Wow, you must be a fast reader. :D

I am also having trouble keeping track of what information has come from LE/DA/etc via reliable media, and what is just SM gossip...

There could have been a shot to the head that also went through an arm. Or any other scenario you can think of where the wound would be fatal but the bullet entered two different areas of body. If people were shot in head but had arms around their head, that would make sense.

Though that doesn't account for the gun being missing. sigh...

But they said none of the victims shot themselves and the killer was loose. Of course, some of that could change at this point.

Chris Rhoden owns alot of properties in Pike and Scioto County- I am just throwing ideas out there, but earlier I had posted that maybe it has to do with these properties?
Loan sharks?

This could be something. He does own quite a bit of property for a guy who fixes and sells junk cars on FB! Also, he paid $60k for the property he bought just last month- for his ex-wife. I think it's safe to assume he isn't qualifying for a conventional mortgage.
Loan sharks? Cash?

Thanks. I would have thought those to be two different wounds but coming from the same bullet that makes sense.

He also has that corporation that was listed with the Secretary of State office and seems that corporation made about $67K last year. It was listed as some type of home health care business.

Someone a while back was commenting on their take from reading HannaR facebook posts, and mentioned that she seemed very sad about her grandfathers death etc. Her living grandfather is Leonard, so I assumed that she was not talking about him. Clarence Rhoden died in 2008,so Hanna would only have been 10 or 11. Odd that she would still be mentioning him in FB posts ? or not? JMO
