Just catching up on this. How sad, but I'm glad LE finally decided to fully investigate this poor man's death. How awful, he was being abused by the handyman.
Handyman, 36, is arrested over death of original Disney Mouseketeer Dennis Day, 76 | Daily Mail Online
The news reports say the handyman was accused of identity theft as well. How did LE not pick up on this when DD went "missing" and his family contacted them. Shouldn't they have noticed right away that someone had stolen DD's identity? I thought LE had the tools to find that out? Shouldn't his criminal background have raised some red flags?
I read a post earlier on the FB page for Dennis that family was supportive of the investigation and that there was much that the public didn’t know. So I suspect the suspicious pieces had to completely fall into place in order to make an arrest for murder that would stick. It’s not always a slam dunk, unfortunately.
It will be interesting to find out where Dennis’s body was eventually found in the house. It must have been very well hidden for LE to miss it. Even though it’s a small town, they aren’t keystone cops.
I’m not sure why the DM posted that photo of a gravestone of a “Dennis Day” 1916-1988. Not the same person at all!
