PA PA - Cheryl Iacovone, 17, Secane, 12 July 1977

So...I was looking at her teeth and, while they aren't the greatest, something about staring at her face triggered something: her latest age progression with that of Rancho Cucamonga Jane Doe: any thoughts???
FYi: neither is ruled out on each other's NAMUS page. I also know there's a height discrepancy.

I can kind of see a resemblance. I think the circumstances and height might rule her out, but those have been known to be wrong in the past. I don’t see the harm in submitting them!

I have been in contact with Cheryl's half-sister, and she has offered to provide us with any information on Cheryl's case that she can.

If anyone has any questions for Cheryl's family, please let me know and I will forward them to her.

BTW, last Thursday, Apr 22 was Cheryl's 50th birthday.
I would like to know if she recalls any specific jewelry bracelets in particular that her sister may have owned. I also have a curiosity if she remembers if her sister ever drank any particular brand of beer. Or if there was any hairstyles that she might have been wearing other than the style in the photo . Hopeful for any response to this I realize that this post was from a long time ago . I'll check back in case.

Bumping this thread. I am new to Cheryl's case. I'd also like to know about the jewelry or any other identifying features. I stumbled upon this ViCAP alert Jane Doe and see a bit of a resemblance. She was found in June 1979 in Perry County, PA.

Details of Disappearance

Cheryl was last seen walking to a friend's house in her hometown of Secane, Pennsylvania on July 12, 1977. She never arrived as expected and has not been seen again. She lived on Chipmunk Lane at the time of her disappearance.

Following Cheryl's disappearance, authorities got tips that she'd been murdered by members of a motorcycle gang and dumped in Tinicum Marsh. Six other local girls between 15 and 19 years old were murdered in the mid-1970s and some of them were found in the marsh; all had ties to biker gangs.

Cheryl was dating 25-year-old David Thompson at the time of her disappearance, and she may have gone to see him that night. Although he was not a biker gang member, in 1978, Thompson was convicted of conspiracy and assault in connection with the fatal beating of a member of the Warlocks motorcycle club, and sentenced to 6 to 23 months in prison. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Cheryl didn't have direct ties to any motorcycle clubs, but in addition to her connection with Thompson, one of her friends was a long-time associate of another biker gang, the Pagans.

Cheryl's mother stated her daughter was going through a rebellious phase at the time of her disappearance and had run away several times, but she would always call home to say she was okay. After her July 1977 disappearance, she was never heard from again.

Her case remains unsolved and foul play is suspected. There has been no sign of Cheryl since 1977.

The four murdered girls (Mary Lees, Layne Spicer, Denise Seaman, and Debra Delozier) were all known to have hung out at MacDade mall, which is just a mile away from Chipmunk Lane where Cheryl lived. The Warlock Motorcycle Club are the prime suspects in those murders and they were known to have dealt drugs at MacDade.

Highly likely Cheryl at least visited the mall.

there are always drug problems murders and kidnappings by renegade bikers or "rude boys" it looks a bit like the case of amy billig... also a young girl kidnapped many years ago too... bikers think they own the where they are and they can do and have whatever they want being that they are scum...
Rest in peace Cheryl.
