:banghead: Nope, not buying it. :notgood: He's enjoying the PYT*, and she's enjoying being a grown-up with a cool serviceman. Somehow these two came together, forming this critical mass that ended in tragedy. IMO, each one is guilty of a little and a lot. Is she gonna bail on him so early -- or did he put these ideas in her head? They are both so young, so young. A tragedy for all of them and their loved ones.

What is society doing to these young girls who should be giggling with each other at slumber parties and reading young teen 'zines and still talking about why they don't like boys all that much yet -- "Yeah, I'd rather be riding a horse or going to camp."

Maybe the withdrawal has something to do with them charging her as an adult for the murder. I guess they decided they can't have it both ways? (A child as far as sexual contact but an adult responsible for murder?) So they just made her as an adult and dropped the sexual assault thing as that is the least of their problems.

Oh, just dammit. This stuff makes me so flippin' mad. How many lives are now ruined? And poor Cheryl, so many years of her life stolen from her and from her relatives and friends. She had many, many more years to do nice things to other folks, to raise her daughter to be a better person, and on, and on, and on. And now her daughter -- what future? When the horribleness (my word, pls excuse) of this finally hits her, she will never be the same.

This girl is a cold blooded manipulative narcissist, IMO. She lied to EVERYONE...he mom, her bf, the cops. Total sociopath

Can you imagine what her poor father must be going through? She needs to be sentenced to life without parole.

The father is in complete denial. Is he medicated? He seems a bit off. Or is he still in shock?

She's having a rough time in prison. I wouldn't trust her around children her own age in a juvenile setting. Any child that can kill, let alone kills their own mother, I have zero sympathy for.

The judge also slapped a gag order on the case, barring lawyers and witnesses from talking to the media covering the trials of the teen and her 21-year-old soldier boyfriend. Prosecutors requested the gag order...

Silvonek and Barnes are being held in the county jail without bail. They will be tried separately; her trial will begin on March 7 and he will face a jury on April 11.

I'm pretty sure she got 34 years and will testify against boyfriend. Does anyone have the media article? I don't have Internet at work for some reason :/ thank goodness for the app I just rely on WS for the newa during the day
