" BREAKING NEWS" 3 jurors were eating in the cafeteria, and the same female I saw in a previous phase, still looks DEFIANT." - paraphrased from JC. Um, I've heard that 3 times, today. She LOVES the word "defiant," (and to stir the sensationalism pot). Maybe they were just tired and hungry. After all, they WERE in a cafeteria.
to quote katiecoolady...............i worship at the church of beth karas

I agree with safie:
This jury has done an outstanding job of evaluating this case, and I would say most of us agree. If it takes them a week to come to a decision....as long as they agree on Death or LWOP ...it will be because they are charged with one of the most profound decisions one can make.
Let us remember Death is a decision EACH juror must make for themselves in order for them to live with knowing they killed someone. I suspect their may be those gung-ho for death and a few that can't in good conscience feel JA is a complete throw-away---no matter how heinous her actions .
None of us know how we would react after 6 months ....and it does not have to be the women having a problem EVERYONE of them has to live with a decision they will own for the rest of their lives.
IMOO I can only pray they will eventually agree on sentencing and it will finally end.:twocents:
Thank you for asking.
Obviously, being civilized, I don't support murder or think it should go unpunished. But I don't support state-sanctioned murder, either. I am anti-death penalty. I do support justice.
I don't agree with the hyperbole and rumour concerning Arias' unique pathologies or powers. She's not that special, though the media have made her so. And, I don't see evidence that she--or anyone else on trial--is "playing" the justice system. Taking advantage of one's legitimate rights is not playing or manipulating anything. That's where this conversation started.
It's true, she IS an attorney...So she should know the risks in stating opinions about deliberating jurors, like body language or facial expressions...Then going on live TV to insinuate they're not getting along and things are going badly in their deliberations - when she does not know that at all.
She's also the one who threw a wrench into the trial so big it required her to take the stand.. She went on TV to talk about ~ NOT seeing ANY jurors ~ who did NOT see the prosecutor ~ signing a cane & standing for a picture.
And finally, she verbalized the same negative interpretations of jurors body language & facial expressions during the guilt / innocence deliberations, and was dead wrong. It's not productive, helpful or necessary in any way, and it causes needless anxiety and pain for the family...Yes, she's an attorney, and should be well familiar with how difficult this already is for them, and she's adding to their pain by always pontificating about how badly things are going for the state and the victims family. It's always one way; never ever does she "opine" that they look united, or even ambiguous...It's always a 'sky is falling' report from her..jmo..
We are not bashing, we are stating facts.
Jean has already admitted that she gets paid to say sensational things for entertainment. She is not being paid to be accurate or forthcoming and is quite often off the mark and inconsistent in her reporting. I really would not trust a word she says.

BK said it would take a 'couple of months' to seat a new jury. i think KN and JW would do all they could to slow that down as much as possible. motion for change of venue (very expensive)---the works. i just don't want that to happen. i think a huge mess is coming if we end up going down that road.
Five jurors defied the other seven in refusing to find felony murder.
I would not be at all surprised if the split is roughly along the same lines.
