State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) DNA analyst Adrienne Hefney testified Tuesday on the sixth day of the trial of 37-year-old Jejuancey Harrington.

The state rested its case on Tuesday.

Harrington's attorneys asked the court for a directed verdict. The judge denied their request.

Harrington's lawyer called only one person to testify. A private investigator talked about cell phone records and surveillance videos in the case.

Harrington stood up and told the judge he won't testify in his own defense.

Closing arguments could get underway Wednesday afternoon.

This is a bench trial, meaning that the judge will issue a ruling.

Feb. 24, 2023

MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A man was found guilty Friday of killing a Marlboro County woman and her 8-year-old daughter in 2017, according to the 4th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Jejauncey Harrington was found guilty on all counts by Judge Michael Nettles in a bench trial, meaning there was no jury.

Nettles sentenced Harrington to life in prison for the murder charges, and 30 years on the kidnapping and armed robbery charges. All sentences will run concurrent.

Found this article - but can not access it...

But it looks like he plead guilty - ??

Anyone reading here - can you give a 10% synopsis on this?

TIA! :)
Snips

Harrington was sentenced to life in prison for both murders, 30 years for kidnapping, and 30 years for armed robbery.

Several members of the victim's family were in court for the verdict.

They all sat together on the front row of the courthouse behind prosecutors.

Harrington's family was also in court and sat directly behind his lawyers.

There was extra security in the courtroom with nearly a dozen deputies and four bailiffs.
