GUILTY Thailand - David Miller, 24, & Hannah Witheridge, 23, Koh Tao, 15 Sep 2014

http://www.andrew-drummond.com/2014/09/police-seek-briton-in-connection-with.html

Seems they are trying really hard to make the killer a foreigner. I think it is a local, the method of kill is something that someone from a third world/land working population would go for. Westerners tend to kill through other means.

One could see why, imo... from the link..
bbm.
"The murder could have an impact on tourism. When Briton Katherine Horton, also 23, was beaten murdered and raped in Koh Samui in 2006 there was a backlash even though the killers were found and sentenced to death, commuted to life imprisonment"

Yes, because that's just the sort of murder weapon a foreign tourist picks up on their travels. A garden hoe. Blame it on them.

Having said that; Did David's friends leave the island by pre-arrangement, or was this a sudden departure? And what was the cause of those hand injuries that were satisfactorily explained?

What an absolute horrific crime :(

RIP dear young people, and my heart goes out to their family and friends...

Has anyone been able to find David William Miller's facebook?

The bodies of Hannah and David have been placed onto a boat for transportation, their destination has not been reported. Such sad images :(

From the link you provided I noted that there was a news item that indicated that the two had only just met at a beach party the night before they were found. Sure sounds like someone followed them -- perhaps someone who was jealous MOO

Both of them were both great looking healthy kids.....it is so sad and I hope they find the perp soon - something tells me it was another tourist not a local at all. JMHO

'Thai police have identified three possible suspects in the search for the killers of two British tourists found naked and beaten to death on a beach.

"There are three possible suspects," southern regional police commander Panya Maman told AFP.

Police are yet to confirm the identities of the suspects, however UK media reports said police wanted to speak to a British man who had been travelling with Mr Miller.

The bodies will be flown to Bangkok for forensic tests.'

Hoping there will be DNA evidence from Hannah's body, at least. I really can't understand the police strategy of saying they want to speak to three men, but not releasing the names?

Such a horrible crime, the poor young couple. I hope they catch the perp real soon, the prime suspect a migrant worker?

RIP Hannah and David.

Police have questioned three Burmese migrant workers who they say were drinking near the scene of the crime that night. Now awaiting DNA from Hannah. If it matches, they'll prosecute immediately.

David's friend did not have cuts, according to this. He had 'bruises from a fire' and is no longer under suspicion.

Elsewhere, I am seeing people discussing how emergency workers at the scene were allowed to photograph the bodies and have shared them of Facebook. Nice.

Those uncensored crime scene pictures are messed up, How the hell did they manage to make their way to the internet. Hope the family never have to see them.

I read they were taken by the emergency crew.

What a senseless, horrible crime. My heart breaks for the families of the two victims.
Just...no words. :(

Richard Barrow here is tweeting a lot of updates. The bodies have arrived in Bangkok now. I think the DNA testing will be carried out very quickly.

I believe Hannah's parents are on the way over. I hope they are prepared or a foreign office official is with them because I think there will be very little protection from the full force of the media or public there.
