Defence suggests it is not at all uncommon for someone to commit suicide without professionals being aware it was a risk. He agrees.

Defence suggests no doctor no matter how conscientious can guarantee patient is free from risk of suicide.#badenclay

Dr George says he agrees as a general principle but insists over 6 years under his care, Allison had never self harmed. #badenclay

Now on the stand is Stephanie Apps, a Brookfield resident. #badenclay

Ms Apps says on April 19, 2012, she arrived home after 9.30pm. #badenclay

Ms Apps says her teenaged son and daughter came home with her. They were not getting on too well, bickering in the back of car. #badenclay

Ms Apps says by the time they got home, it was explosive. She shouted at them to get inside the house. #badenclay

Ms Apps says her daughter knocked over a pot, then ran to the top of the drive. She says she shouted quite loudly at them. #badenclay

Ms Apps says her daughter ran into a spider's web and screamed very loudly. She was worried about the neighbours hearing it. #badenclay

Ms Apps says she later went to see police and told them about her daughter screaming. They took her details but didn't take statement.

Ms Apps says she was approached by the defence on the weekend and asked to provide a statement. #badenclay

OMG .. is she saying that the noises the neighbours heard was her family not Allison and GBC?

:floorlaugh: Marly

I had to read that twice :blushing:

panic I reckon but turns out it was pretty stupid I am wondering if the jury thinks its fingernail scratches where does that really lead to in the end not enough to convict him

If the jury believes they are fingernail scratches, then it follows that they believe that shaving injury scenario is a lie. Then logic follows with the questions about motivation to lie about such a thing, and also what other lies have been told by the defendant. That is all my humble opinion....... And obviously considered with other evidence like the blood and hair in the car. Hoping and praying for justice in this most tragic case.

Ms Apps is being questioned by the defence. She agrees her neighbours across the road back onto the Baden-Clay residence.

Ms Apps says she was telling her children to be quiet and to get inside. "It was a mother having a bit of a hysterical fit at her children".

The defence are suggesting a catalyst for Allison to commit suicide was the birth of Adam's son the day before. They can't suggest it was any fight that she had with GBC over Toni or anything else for eg as that would catch out him in lying to police. So the only very recent thing they have plucked out of the air is the new baby. No wonder Adam stayed overseas.

Brookfield resident is up now. Says night Allison vanished her children were playing up, fighting and screaming. @9NewsBrisbane #badenclay

I have a question. So, given we have no cause of death, if you were going to commit suicide, you would do it by taking an OD or throwing yourself in front of a train or whatever.
If they are saying there's no clear COD, how are they postulating that she took her own life exactly? What is it she's meant to have done which has shown up as not having an actual COD? ***confused***

I have always had a 'feeling' that Allison's death was sudden but quiet...

Ms Apps says her daughter gave a shrill, startled scream when she ran into the spider's web. Says her daughter was terrified of spiders.

Ms Apps has been excused. #badenclay

That's all for today. Back next week. #badenclay

This guy is such a piece of work - for years blamed Allison for all their problems, went with her to psychiatrist, psychologists, marriage counsellors whining about her 'depression' and 'dependence' causing the marital problems, all the while conducting an emotional and physical relationship with another woman and never disclosing this to any of the professionals who may have advised and treated Allison differently with this knowledge.
Now we have the same excuse for a husband and human being trashing every memory her family, friends and children will have of her to save his own skin. Make no mistake, his counsel would not be following this 'suicide' line of defence without his instructions, and most of this is ancient history.

He betrayed Allison in life, and now he's betraying her in death.

How can he do this to his daughters?????

Dr George says no problems "whatsoever" in 2007, 2008. "She was doing extremely well." #badenclay

Dr George says Allison and her husband came to see him in 2009 about difficulties in the marriage. #badenclay http://bit.ly/badenclayday7

Dr George says they were both together throughout the consultation. #badenclay

Dr George says they both spoke of difficulties from their own perspectives. #badenclay

Dr George says Gerard was frustrated that Allison left decision making to him. #badenclay

Gerard told the psych Allison was capable and made decisions while he was away but was "so dependant" on him when he was home. #badenclay

Gerard also complained the business was under financial pressure and Allison had spent money on an expensive treadmill. #badenclay

BBM..interesting Allison bought a treadmill - yet she was out walking the streets apparently in the early hours of 2oth April- when she had limited time to do so as she had to get to a real estate conference. I know this does not prove anything and of course just because you have a treadmill doesn't mean you would never go for a walk around the streets.. but it would be alot quicker and easier to use if you are going to exercise before going to work/conference.
