Family still has hope of finding missing Bedford County siblings

I'm not so certain the remains would have been found. Children sometimes hide during a fire, and fires are not isothermal. The children might have hidden in a spot that became extremely hot, where everything was turned to ash.
If they were kidnapped, it may have been a noncustodial parent who subsequently murdered and disposed of them, ot it might have been someone like Joseph Duncan.

Still missing:
A Middle Tennessee AMBER Alert has been issued for the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office for 9-year-old Chloie Leverette and 7-year-old Gage Daniel. The children were last seen on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at approximately 6:30 p.m. by a neighbor. Chloie and Gage lived with their grandparents at 730 Kingdom Road, Unionville, Tennessee. That home was destroyed by fire on Sunday night at approximately 9:30 p.m. After an extensive five day search, multiple fire experts have processed the scene and are unable to locate evidence that Chloie and Gage were victims of the fire. The location of Chloie and Gage are unknown at this time.

I can't believe it has been almost five years.

What now?
Is anybody looking for the kids or are they considered victims of the fire?

Bumping for Chloie Leverette who would now be 17 and Gage Daniels 15 on the evening of September 23, 2012, a pair of half-siblings vanished without a trace after a fire burned down the house they lived in with their grandparents, both of whom died in the blaze.
Reportedly last seen at home at 6:30 p.m., after the fire, the remains of the McClarans pets, consisting of a poodle and a cockatoo, were discovered, but no signs pointing to the whereabouts of the half-siblings or their remains, were found

Before the blaze, 9-year-old Chloie and her 7-year-old half-brother Gage were in the custody of their grandparents, Leon “Bubba” McClarans, 72 and Molli McClarans, 70 and lived with them in the 700 block of Kingman Road in Unionville, Tennessee

The fire itself started at 9:30 p.m., burning the house to the ground. The cause of the blaze remains unknown, though the county sheriff believed it was accidental. The McClarans kept more than thirty propane tanks in the basement of the house, and evidence was found by fire officials, that tanks had ruptured, though there were no signs of an explosion

At first, those involved in the investigation believed that both Chloie and Gage also died in the fire, but examinations of the scene done by forensic anthropologists found no evidence to suggest that

Cremations occur at around 1500 degrees, but fire experts say it is unlikely the house got that hot

Moreover, after the fire, investigators spoke with the half-siblings’ mother, Cheryl Daniel, and concluded that she did not have them. Furthermore, Gage’s father was also determined to have no involvement, however a former TBI agent Brad Garrett said "statistically, children this age, over 90 percent of the time, are taken by their own parents or a close relative" so where are the Children?

Tennessee officials put out a statewide Amber Alert, to no avail

Police questioned everyone who knew the kids, but investigators said they have no suspects and aren't even sure they have a crime

The circumstances of the pair’s vanishings and the exact cause of the blaze both remain unclear

New Age progressions have been released too

"Cremations occur at around 1500 degrees, but fire experts say it is unlikely the house got that hot."

Underlining by me.

Unlikely is the operative word there. The probable solution here is that the fire did get that hot in whatever area the children were located. In a fire, some areas may get much hotter than others.

It's possible that the children were abducted and killed and that the fire was intentionally set in order to conceal that crime, but I see the likelihood of that as comparatively small.

Shelbyville Missing
In an average year, two or three persons go missing in our state. That two are missing within four months of each other, three overall - and in a town the size of Shelbyville -- it becomes a statistical anomaly. This series of articles details the investigation and the frustration of the families with unanswered questions.

Thursday marks a very grim milestone for one Middle Tennessee family as it will be nine years since two children disappeared after a house fire.
On Sept. 23, 2012, Bubba and Molli McLaren had just gone to bed when their home caught fire and quickly burned.
Their remains were later found, but crews never recovered the bodies of their grandchildren Chloie Leverette and Gage Daniel, believed to be inside at the time of the fire.

Ten years today.

Looks like the same article except for changing the number of years the children have been missing.
