The $40,000 and $400 was reported in the MSM as info from AD:

Arlene said Gail told her that Matt became pressed for cash and he asked her to withdraw $20,000 from her retirement account. She said Gail told her that money was gone in three weeks and Matt asked for another $20,000, which she assented to.

She said Gail told her she went to their bank to review the records and was startled to find "that Matt was getting $400 every couple of days from an ATM."

BBM.. I have most certainly entertained those thoughts especially the latter in reference to him hiring a hit man and using Gail's money to do it....JMHO..

JMO, but I think AD knows the reason why for the $40 because GP mentioned it to her. Knowing AD...she ask why. I just think she doesn't want to bring it public.

I'd like the PI's speculations also. Does he think GP left on her own?

Regarding the blue truck, someone in June on a psychic forum said they were "getting something" about a teal blue Honda. It wasn't even the blog post, just a comment to a blog post.

There is nothing public about CC's description of the truck. She may have told LE (and I assume she did) but it was not mentioned in the media. Since we haven't heard anything about the sighting since, I really wonder what (if anything) LE thinks about it.

I don't think that CC said anything about color, or even make/model. It was the psychic that said something about blue.

Has anyone heard anything about the searches? We're already past Tuesday so surely something has been searched by now, at least I would hope.

To my knowledge LE and the MSM have never revealed the name of the PI Gail hired.. Do any of us even know IF he has come forward? Did he provide Gail with evidence concerning MP meeting with an unidentified person after he was seen withdrawing funds from the ATM? This has always been a concern of mine, especially IF there are pictures and Gail could identify the unidentified person IF she ever saw him/her..JMHO

Oops, sorry all. I'm not sure where I got blue truck from, the article says "pickup truck". Nonetheless, IF it were Gail being made to go to the pickup truck, for all we know there was a driver of that truck and Gail was forced into that truck. Very easy for someone else to drive away with her jeep/phone.

As far as the cell pings go...please corrrect me if I am misunderstanding you, but are you saying you don't believe her cell phone was with her if the alledged sighting by CC is correct? That would lead me to believe that someone local is responsible for disappearing Gail, under this scenario, since the last ping was noted at approx. 5:00 pm on 5/2 (nearly 2 full days since the last confirmed sighting of Gail) still on or near SM.

Yes, that is my theory IF Gail disappeared at the hand of someone on 4/30. In my mind, just because her phone pinged on 5/2, that doesn't mean it was her. It was near her MIL's house, correct? Someone intimate could have had the phone until it ran out, or it could simply have been tossed.

Unless, she is laying somewhere injured/dead within the ping area. I don't really see why she would be driving around that area 2 days after she goes missing.

Hmm, so maybe Matt was getting money and meeting this person to place bets - gambling? Or get drugs? Wouldn't you think a good PI or LE would investigate this to its end to find out WHO exactly this person was and what his relation to Matt was? I thought somewhere it mentioned he met with various people.

Almino, we were discussing that very thing on here a day or two ago, that is, what area the last ping came from? A MSM article quoted DN as saying the last ping on 5/2 was located near the north base of Signal Mountain which is in the opposite direction of the MIL's apartment.

LE searched a portion of Suck Creek located near the MIL's apt, though...so not sure...:waitasec:

Maybe MM had a vacation scheduled? :innocent: I wasn't aware detectives have a schedule...per se, but if they are busy on something else....I hope it's because they found something substantial in Gail's case...or a very good lead.

I'm not a gambler.. Tennesse has a Lottery, but I have never ever purchased a lottery ticket..
My husband used to place bets on Football, the Kentucky Derby, World Series, and Bowl Games, from time to time, but to my knowledge it was never a large sum of money. I do recall hearing stories about several 'bookies' in the Chattanooga area though, so there has to be some gambling going on here in Choo Choo Town..

I wasn't even aware of there being any Casinos in Chattanooga, but the link posted below claims there are several hotels here in the city that do provide gambling...

If you are going to Tennessee just for gambling it is good to know that the most number of casinos are in city of Chattanooga. There are some casino hotels in Chattanooga which are very nice for its visit and stay. Chattanooga is a well known travel destination, but people who enjoy playing casino games and traveling, mostly know about this town. Chattanooga is located in the southern east part of Tennessee near the border of Georgia. While you are in this lovely town you can visit Tennessee Aquarium, the African American Museum and Civil War Battlefield sites.

It would be interesting to make a list of what details LE has confirmed. It wouldn't take very long, I don't think. They've said barely a peep about any details IIRC.

What do you all think about Gail's sister Diane pleading in interviews for Gail to please show herself/return? I remember reading early on that Diane learned things about Gail and MP that she hadn't known before.

Do you think she could know something that leads her to believe Gail IS out there? Or is this just a general plea, so MP doesn't think she's looking at him?

BBM: No, we don't know. LE has never confirmed nor denied that Gail had a PI, and we haven't heard a name.

I was mulling this over yesterday, and had this thought. Maybe her PI went to LE as soon as he (or she) found out that Gail went missing. And maybe LE is keeping that to themselves. Maybe they have photos or other items from the PI. It's possible... LE has been so tight-lipped throughout this, they haven't confirmed anything except that "it's a missing persons investigation".

I put myself in Gail's PI's shoes, and imagined that everything AD has said is true. I asked myself what I would do if one of my clients went missing while I was gathering evidence of her husband's alleged affair... and immediately came to the conclusion that I would go straight to LE - do not pass go, do not collect $200. I would give them everything I had, even if I felt that her husband did not harm her. And perhaps I might ask to stay anonymous. OR, perhaps LE would look at what I brought them, and decide to keep my visit under wraps.

Another scenario could be that the PI did not go to LE (maybe didn't know Gail was missing), but AD gave the name of the PI to LE and then they tracked him or her down for an interview. Yes, AD "talks a lot", but I think she knows far more than what she's told the media. She probably knows the PI's name, or could easily find out based on things Gail told her in the past.

And just to be fair and balanced, the above scenarios don't necessarily have to point to MP harming Gail. The PI may have some insight into Gail's state of mind and behavior in the weeks leading up to her disappearance. Maybe he or she told LE that Gail behaved "strangely" (anxious, upset, paranoid, etc) the last time they met (total speculation and just an example).
