IIRC, by definition, photos from unallocated spaces on the memory card mean they WERE deleted. Detective Melendez had to spend more time recovering those. They could not have been added to the camera from another source, however, as the EXIF info on the memory card shows which camera each photo was taken with, as well as other details such as whether flash was used.

As to whether JA could upload them to her camera, I doubt that would have been possible. Btw Olympus has a proprietary memory card with one curved edge and three straight edges that doesn't work in other cameras.

Travis may have taken other photos with that camera that were not deleted. But all the ones we've seen (and two more nudes of JA that were the subject of a defense motion that we have not seen) were all deleted and recovered with special software.

Laviolette kept correcting him by saying "the test was given two years after the fact" she said this a few times, to me implying that Arias could HAVE suffered from low self esteem when with Travis, but has since recovered.

Is it just me, but if someone is a victim of DV... do they really recover that quickly??? I assume that low self esteem goes hand in hand with someone who stays in a violent relationship, but it seems like two years is a quick recovery for something so traumatic in regards to self image. I know YMMV with people, but that just struck me as odd, or am I overthinking it?

There are some great pros on here (maybe not right this minute) who can answer that authoritatively, but in my experience, no, it's not that easy to get over something like that. In this case, it allegedly involved an extremely emotionally abusive relationship ending in violent homicide. I would think that might take a while (read decades) to get over entirely. Most people bear scars from abuse for most of their lives. Another reason to be skeptical, in my opinion.

I'm annoyed by reading the latest motion for mistrial. Claiming that the trial has turned into a "witch hunt" of sorts.

Wasn't it the defense who brought in all this scandalous crap. The sex, the lies, the sex tape. It was their defense... Travis was some big bad sex feen and poor little innocent Jodi was just an abused fragile flower. They let her go on and on for weeks trashing Travis. They caused this! Isn't that obvious? Or am I just blinded by the fact that I think she is guilty guilty guilty?!

They claim that Mr Martinez has been "throwing his pen", and "yelling at witnesses" Also, they mention him posing with his "so-called fans"...What about JW stomping her feet, laughing at objections? What about Nurmi constantly throwing his pen down on the podium so we all hear it over and over and over again? I don't see JM as yelling at witnesses, I see him as calling them out. They are all living in this fantasty land that she was abused, and he knows that she wasn't. Maybe he gets a little excited, but I bet he's more than frustrated at the circus that this has become... because of the crap that was brought in by JA, Travis was brutally murdered and that needs to be remembered. It seems to be forgotten a lot.

Then they claim that he was "unapologetic" about the evidence he released. Now, maybe I'm cray cray.. but they are talking about the journals right? Isn't this public knowledge? Can't anyone request it and receive it. They act like Juan went to GMA personally and handed it over to them.

I haven't watched todays afternoon session. Going to get caught up on it now. Just wanted to vent about their latest mistrial request.

Ugh I was looking through trial pictures on Wild About Trial's website and came up on one of JA with blonde hair looking sort of down at the camera. It gave me chills. I can't explain it but I could just feel evil coming from the picture. Upon first look somebody would say it's a good pic of a pretty girl, but look harder and knowing the back story it creeps me out.

Is that the one where she's holding a candle? That would make sense since the DT has tried to say Jodi is being railroaded just like the SALEM WITCHES. Oy Vey! I want to slap the crap out of someone but the only one here is my cat Lola and she knows when to hide...

Juan is just rattling her cage to catch her in lies, and his strategy is working. So much so the DT is calling out "Mistrial(s)" to put him in his tracks.

A soft spoken cross would not work because ALV would lead Juan down the rose garden path.

I wane to preface by saying I am 110% pro prosecution... But I am soo mad at Juan Martinez. Why does he need to badger LAViolette .. He is being way too arrogant .. He's coming off diminutive, angry and feels the need to constantly belittle. Ughghg. If I'm feeling bad for her I just sure hope the jury isn't either. He didn't need to address this witness the same way he addressed arias or Samuels. I just don't want his terrible cross exam to sway the jury away from 1st degree. This is a horrible cross exam. Why can't he soften his tone? Does he not get how his points are being lost within his *advertiser censored* fights? I love Martinez, I admire his work and dedication to this case. I just don't like that he's being counterproductive. If it's just me please tell me. I hope it is. Please we can't lose this one. My humble oo!
