Nel: Thursday, Mr O demanded an apology. I don't owe an apology to anyone.

Judge: I don't recall him asking that.

Now Judge is confused about the 'day we are dealing with'

Nel is reading from Derman's testimony on Thursday, I think.

This whole confusion they're dealing with right now is because Nel asks confusing questions and twists what a witness says to make it sound like he said something different IMO

N: I've never referred to running without referring to the passage.

Nel reading large sections of the record regarding "ran".

Nel quoting Derman saying 'Yes' to a question re running down the corridor, and how he 'read it in a report somewhere'.

Nel adds he's never been misleading.

Oldwage takes the floor again.

Nel said every time he referred to running, it was running down the corridor.

This could be cleared up very quickly if the judge would just ask the witness to clarify when and where OP told him he was "running" and let him answer

Oh no, Oldwage on his feet. He thinks Nel has been misleading.

Oldwage insisting Nel has been misleading in his cross of Derman last week.

This is just wasting time and energy now. They should move on.

Judge: Are you saying it's misleading to ask if witness got 'run' from the record?

O: No milady.

Ever noticed how the action of straightening out a twisted piece of wire and the action of twisting a straight piece of wire are physically identical ?

My impression has been that Nel has been taking deliberately contorted testimony and straightening it out to get out the reality that the defence witnesses, especially the "experts", have been trying to misrepresent.
