Establishing that OP had proof of firearms competency - knowledge of the Firearms Control Act.

Nel asking if he established competency and SR says yes, OP produced his competency card. Says OP had a 'great love' of weapons.

2nd carbine rifle.. civil version of military use rifle.. the Saltra

the L 6 semi automatic, self loading.

now.. these items were never handed over to Oscar.. the order was cancelled about a month after the shooting of reeva..

reeves was in charge of Oscars assessment.. Oscar would have to fill in a standard questionnaire..
didn't fill it in

when Oscar originaly ordered this weaponry he produced a competency card...

there were many discussions re guns with Oscar .he had a great love and enthusiasm for them

Op was also given a 'pre-assessment meeting' which OP signed where all the requirements for buying the weapons were explained to him. As well, he had to be assessed on his knowledge of firearms law.

Question #3: If someone breaks into your home & tries to steal your hi-fi, can you shoot them? OP answered no.

#4: If they tell you to go away, or they will kill you, can you shoot them? OP answered no.

SR reading question that was put to OP.

'You are at home alone in an isolated area far from police and security services. You happento look out the window and see strange men jumping over your wall. You're not expecting visitors and it's late night. Have they committed an offence?

OP answered 'No'.

Now on to OP's answer to burglars actually stealing stuff. OP answered "No' not justified in opening fire.

If they threatened to kill you? 'No'

If they came towards you with a knife and firearm? 'Yes".

a copy of Oscars competency certificate.. he completes the unit, but Reeves didn't issue a certificate. the matter was never completed

another certificate of fire arms control act..

pre assessment meeting. a document that Oscar acknowledges the conversations that REEVES is tellin him re firearms safety etc

signed by both Oscar and reeves..

handling and user exam thingy

reeves was on the premises when Oscar filled these in..

instructors would have been doing the test with Oscar. on Oscar.. ( part of the regulations of owning guns , nothing peculiar about this testing thingy )

samples f the questions on the test..

2 strange men come over your fence. have you the legality to produce yur rifle. (no )

these men break off the burgler bars.. they enter the house.. can you discharge a firearm at this point?? no

when the burglers turn on you. 10 meteres away.. can you fire at them?? no

say if both are armed, one with a knife one with a gun can you discharge a firearm?? yes.. you can

explain the legal requirements when using lethal force..

the attack must be against you, ( Oscar answers ) the attack must be against you.

and Ive lost sound

Question #5: If there is no security gate between you & the burglars, and they turn around and both are armed, one with a knife & one with a firearm, and they advance towards you, can you discharge a firearm at them because you fear for your life? OP answered yes.

OP listed 10 general safety rule;

Muzzle conscious
in holster
unloaded in storage
don't handle unecessarily
don't ??
don't mix with alcohol
don't fire in air
use correct ammo
keep firearm clear

These are all tests and questions OP had answered when he wanted to buy the weapons. He seemed to know his stuff and all the rules and safety laws and got good scores.

having been able to watch and listen up until today , all by myself, my absorption has been noticed. . NOW its plugged into the plasma TV.. I have chatting during it. heh.. it is terrible to share this stuff ..

Zwi. this huge order for guns he made with Reeves. then it was cancelled. I wonder why>??

Scenarios again

Making decisions about when to use force

Men breaking into garden and coming towards the house...OP said 'Minor property offence'.

Men breaking into house and removing TV....OP said 'No, life is not in danger" not justified in opening fire.

OP stated....In the event of an accidental discharge 'no person shall be injured or killed'.

Zwi. this huge order for guns he made with Reeves. then it was cancelled. I wonder why>??

Moo.....cause he is sheeted with guns / knew he would haveno use for them in jail.

The order was canceled after he killed Reeva

Zwi. this huge order for guns he made with Reeves. then it was cancelled. I wonder why>??

Because he shot Reeva before it was fulfilled. Probably didn't think it a good idea to carry it through after.

SR saying OP told him about the tumble dryer incident where he went into 'full recon' mode.
