The jury heard from the family of the Dallas dentist who was killed in a murder-for-hire plot.

The state presented five witnesses on Monday....

What prison is like is an important issue when the jury decides sentence. In a death penalty case, jurors aren’t asked to simply pick death. They must determine whether the person could be a future danger (even in prison) and whether there are reasons to save his/her life.

Kristopher Love stood up in the middle of his sister’s testimony, tripped over his shackled ankles and tried to go back to the holdover where inmates are kept in between testimony. Jurors were taken out while the bailiffs took Love back into the cell.
