Found Deceased TX - Lauren Elizabeth Thompson, 32, Panola County, 10 Jan 2019 *called 911, car found in a ditch*

My opinion is that these people she was with saw Lauren as a threat. From the 911 call and other information, it is not secret that Lauren used drugs. So many missing people/murdered people happen when they try to escape this environment. They are eliminated. Their killers know what they are doing. Everyone is afraid of them. With her body being only bones, it is unlikely they will be able to determine the cause of death. It makes me sad and mad.

The Facebook page for Lauren is called, "Justice of Lauren Thompson." No new developments have been released to the general public at this time. The case remains open.

I thought the area where she went missing was private land and that was part of the issue with searches?
Curious what kind of work crew was in the middle of a wooded area? Right of way?
The private land owners allowed law enforcement to search but they would not allow random people to search. There was a "psychic" from South Texas, as well as her friends (most who had criminal histories) that wanted to search. They caused alot of misinformation and interfered in the investigation. Her body was found about a mile or so from the car but on the opposite side of the road (south). That area was said to have been searched. There are electrical transmission lines around there which have about 30 ft lanes cut beneath them. This is done so brittle pine limbs don't fall on the lines and down them. In that area, there are pines being grown for timber and they are in rows and not grown up. The area where her car was found did have lots of thickets, but most of the land where parts of her skeletal remains were found was pretty clean. Personally, my theory is that there were others involved who grabbed Lauren, forced her in to another vehicle, left the scene and left others on site with the alibi. It was 5 minutes from the time they last talked to Lauren and LE arrived. How could they have killed her and covered it up in that time frame. I believe they later dumped her body there because that area had already been cleared.

On the street people who owe drug dealers money, even as little as $50.00, often wind up being killed - this sends a message to other clients of the drug dealer that if you get fronted some drugs, you'd better pay up. It's kind of like those Payday Loan stores - except that instead of having your paychecks and bank account seized it's your life... I worked on the West Side of Chicago in loss prevention in the mid-1980's; nearly everyone was doing drugs, and I used to remind them to make sure they paid for the drugs when they received them - not to go into debt, because it won't end well.
