TX - Terri 'Missy' Bevers, Dallas 18 Apr 2016 Media & Timeline *NO DISCUSSION*

Midlothian police have sought the expertise of other law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and New York Police Department. On Friday, they said the Tarrant County district attorney’s office just completed a detailed analysis of the video to create a “more specific physical description” of the killer.

“We do not plan to release those findings at this time,” police said, declining to elaborate.

“As we conclude the third week of this investigation, many questions have been answered and many still remain,” the release stated. “Our investigative team has conducted dozens of interviews, reviewed volumes of electronic data and received over 800 tips, which we continue to work through.”

Besides personnel from the FBI, other agencies' resources and personnel remain available to the department in an on-call roll should their help be required, according to the release.

The New York Police Department lent a hand analyzing data received from search warrants for information from the cell phone towers near the church for a span of an hour before to an hour after Bevers was killed, assistant chief Kevin Johnson said.

“We have an investigator on staff who has ties to NYPD and a background in cyber,” Johnson said. “He reached out to NYPD and they agreed to help us analyze the data received from one of the search warrants for cell tower information. As you may imagine, the volume of data received from multiple cell towers is massive. We had an opportunity to receive assistance analyzing that data, and we were happy to accept.”

No NYPD personnel traveled to Texas, he added.

I lived in Midlothian, I knew Missy, I’ve been in the fitness industry for 20+ years and even taught one of her Camp Gladiator classes with her. I had had a conversation with her about self-defense and, ironically, her own personal safety. We knew many of the same people. Heck, I’ve even been in the church where she was murdered. But even as I could write about all the good that Missy did in the world, I would inevitably learn other things. To date, the still unsolved murder has been called “riveting,” “shocking” and “compelling” by national magazines and headline news agencies around the world, each looking for the next big tease. Everyone is weighing in with their own theories as more rumors swirl around the small town of Midlothian, Texas.

In their quest to find the truth, the police have interrogated quite a few people who have later said how brutal, intense, even unkind it was. But the police are only doing their jobs as the murder of Missy was, to say the least, brutal, intense and, most unkind.

I believe in good police work. In due time the murderer will be revealed. The world will learn the reasons that, however pathetic, Missy was so savagely attacked. It will be a story that will be told over and over, leaving innocents once suspected but now redeemed, forever and regrettably changed.

Authorities have said they found evidence of forced entry at the church and believe Mrs Bevan may have walked in on a robbery while preparing for her Camp Gladiator fitness class.

They also claimed someone tried to clean up the crime scene. * thats the extent of the clean up comment/Mimi *

 Just realized we have a night time view of CREEKSIDE CHURCH OF CHRIST !

Here is Kerry Sanders doing a LIVE Shot at the Creekside Church of Christ on April 20, 2016. Notice the water on the ground, Notice how DARK it is and would be if they hadn't used the LIGHTS for the CAMERA. You can see a car in this clip its coming past the SWFA Outdoor Store towards the Creekside Church of Christ drive on Hwy 287. As it passes notice how DARK that parking lot is! It had rained here but wasn not raining/storming as it was morning of April 18 at 416am when MB pulled into the Creekside parking lot. *** note we do not know yet where the surveillance video that captured this time stamp time from LEO.

Very eeeery and creepy. Missy Bevers Today Show April 20 2016 AM dark.JPG

Now imagine that dark what can you see in that parking lot? And it was raining/storming which would make it even harder to see. Unless Suspect vehicle was parked to where MB headlights hit as she whipped in the drive on way to the Covered Awning. Creekside Church Google May 2015 Arkansasmimi.jpg

During a press conference Friday morning, Midlothian Police Department’s Assistant Chief Kevin Johnson said investigators have narrowed down the height range of the killer to between 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 7 inches.

But, they still do not know the killer’s gender or race. They’ve gotten countless tips about the killer’s unusual walk, but most of it has just been opinion or speculation.

Police also said they do not consider any of Bevers’ family, friends or co-workers suspects in the case, despite rumors that have circulated on social media.

Midlothian PD: No family, friends or coworkers are suspects in Bevers murder

Earlier this month, police released new warrants targeting LinkedIn accounts and over seven weeks of phone records potentially connected to the murder. Several family members, friends and coworkers were named in the warrants.

Johnson on Friday said none of the people named in those warrants are suspects in the case. Family members each have “detailed alibis” that has been “corroborated through independent sources,” he said.

“One month ago, I told you this investigation and the murder of Missy Bevers was weighing very heavily on our community and on our investigative team,” Johnson said Friday. “One month later, that weight is still very present.”

Assistant Chief Kevin Johnson reassured the public that investigators are still hopeful they’ll get a break in the case.

“It’s hard to get away with murder these days,” he said.

Making the job harder are scores of amateur sleuths from across the country who are distracting the dozen or so investigators working the case. Johnson said last week that they wasted 30 to 40 hours on a rumor that proved baseless.

Johnson did say, however, that no family or friends of Bevers are suspects.

During a media event on Friday, Midlothian Assistant Chief Kevin Johnson said, “Despite the tips we’ve already received we continue to rely on the public’s help.”

“The last remaining lead involves a car that pulls into the SWFA Sporting Goods parking lot at approximately 2 a.m. They’re seen pulling into the parking lot and leaving just a few minutes later,” Johnson said. “We believe that car is a 2010 to 2012 Nisan Altima, it’s light in color – possibly silver.”

While police stress they don’t think the car in question is involved in Bever’s murder, they’d like to talk to the person/persons inside to see if they have any memory about that morning.

On Friday, police did give more information regarding the description of the suspect. They say that through forensic video reconstruction they have determined the individual stands somewhere between 5’2” and 5’7”. While they don’t know the gender or race of the individual, they say the person appears to have lighter skin.

A forensic video analysis was conducted on the video, which included investigators walking back through the church to examine the physical space.

Deputy Chief Kevin Johnson said Friday that experts believe the suspect is between 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall. However, no other distinguishing characteristics could be gleaned from the analysis.

"This is a frustrating case," Johnson told reporters. "It's a hard investigation. Some people think we are not equipped to deal with this investigation. You have to know that we have some really good help. We've got access to some fantastic resources and personnel and experienced investigators. So yeah, it's been frustrating."

"We want an arrest as fast as anybody in this case. We want to bring that sense of safety back to the community and resolve this for the family and the public in general," he said.

"We'll continue to work until that's done."

The store owner says when they first spotted the car on their security camera, they thought someone was scoping out their store. Then they heard about the murder.

Could this be the break Midlothian Police have been waiting for?

"It could just be a coincidence, if they pulled in or if they did have something to do with it," said Dillon Hazelwood, sales manger of SWFA Outdoors. "We’re just excited that there’s new information out now."
