Or a vehicle that may have been scrapped after whatever happened to Corrie, and maybe crushed with him in it? I read recently of a case some time ago where it is thought a body was crushed in a scrapped vehicle and the metal then sent for smelting.

I would imagine that Beck Row also houses a lot of the staff from the base and maybe they have announced these searches to turn up the heat?

  3. Yes, could easily just be her 'most likely scenario' assumption. Certainly their website still states "His phone was not used after this and it has not been found."

Agree. Nicola has always said she felt the phone went in the bin. She doesn't state she has it physically so see it as no change and it's just what she believes and what the police believe from the pings.

I would really like to think whoever crushes cars would be obliged to check the car and boot before crushing it, surely it would be common sense? Even if it isn't mandatory you wouldn't really want a load of rubbish that was left in the boot getting mixed up with the scrap metal. If anyone can confirm or deny if there is any legal obligation to check the boot that would be great.

I've only seen bodies in the boots of crushed cars in Eastenders which tends to forgo accuracy for drama.

Just going to add my opinion on whether Corrie is gay or not based on my own experiences. I feel that Corrie is a young man in a time where they are alot freer in terms of how they behave and carry themselves, and looking at his instagram doesn't make me think he is gay. My first thoughts were, and I mean no disrespect, that he is a bit of a poser, knows he's good looking and plays on it, maybe a bit of a show off. He looks very very similar to many young guys that I know, including from the same area, that aren't gay. The whole social media thing is very much embraced by his age group and is often used as a platform for likes to feed the ego, which isn't always a good thing. The tan, muscle tops, earrings and bleached hair are standard attire for the type of guy he looks to be, in my opinion. I genuinely do not believe he is gay. His brother also looks similar in some ways in the way he dresses etc. Flamboyant mannerisms and dress sense are quite common in young guys like Corrie and it by no means proves they are gay, camp maybe but not gay. Again, just my opinion based on guys his age that I know and know of. Also the quote I'm only one call away I'd take to be in reference to the Charlie Puth song and I've certainly seen that particular quote posted on Facebook and instagram by my younger friends, children of friends and young people I work with. I don't think it means he was an escort by any stretch of the imagination. All just my own opinion.

Beck Row is a small village and many American Service personnel live there. According to a local they have been searching open land there in an area frequented by plane spotters and dog walkers. A lot of activity for one day, hope it leads somewhere.

When I first posted it was because I knew Corrie from Dunfermline when we were younger. I agree with eneri21, yes he's a bit of a poser but know one I have spoken to from home thinks he's gay, just likes getting likes on sm.

Wow, so now Nicola is saying the phone was in the bin? There seems to be a lot more info coming out today I wonder if that's deliberate, are they trying to catch someone out?

Also didn't know hoodies had been banned in some areas. I'd like to see them try and ban the kids I work with from going out in their hoodies!! Oh, and I'm 34 I still wear my hoody up if it's cold!

  10. Regarding the road closure today:

"A police spokeswoman said today's lane closure was a follow-up to a "potential line of inquiry", but it had provided no new information to the missing person inquiry." (BBC News article)

    Also from that article:

"Detectives believe he stopped for a brief nap in a doorway before setting off to walk the nine miles (15km) back to the RAF Honington base alone."

Either the reporting is just a bit out of date, or the police are very much in disagreement with the family who believe strongly he can't have left the bin area on foot.

Is it common for heterosexual poser males to tag himself into "men only" and "cute boy" gay pages on his Instagram with the headline "only a call away" ? I'm not so sure...

I'm bisexual and I've never told my friends or family or felt the need to announce it. I've also flat out denied it when asked. It's not a derogatory thought to believe Corrie maybe bisexual or considering it, it is purely a discussion to look into if he could have possibly been using sites like Grindr or tinder for hook ups. These apps have many articles online about the consequences and dangers of them, just because someone Corrie once knew says he isn't gay doesn't mean that is gospel xx

I've been wanting to add my thoughts on this for a while as I really feel the speculation was getting a bit much. There are a tonne of guys like Corrie in Fife, I know many many guys that act and dress the same way. While I do believe that many folk would think he's gay I certainly don't.

I don't think those pages are as strictly gay as you might think. Poser boys love a like, any like, it massages the ego.
Only one call away is I believe in reference to the Charlie Puth song, something a lot of young guys, and girls, will do, use a song lyric as their tag line. Just my opinion.

Young people do quote songs as a "reference" to what they are feeling or trying to say. He wouldn't have posted those words if his intention was, leave me alone i don't want you to talk to me. Do you see what I mean here?
The pages he was tagging himself in are men only gay orientated Instagram pages, please feel free to check yourself and ask the owner of the page to confirm this is you do not take my word for it.

Yes, you would hope and think so, though it's only in the last few years that scrapyards have been required to keep accurate records of where they buy metal from. There has long been a criminal element involved in vehicle breaking - not all yards obviously, but enough to say it's not impossible for dodgy vehicles to disappear this way.

I'll take your word for that. I've never watched the programme.

I see what you mean yes, but I disagree with its meaning.
I know the pages you're referring to, it's not a case of taking your word for it, it's my opinion, based on my own experiences, that leads me to believe what I believe. I'm not trying to start an argument, we have a difference of opinion that's all.

Yes, I catch your drift....but if Corrie is gay and was seeking a hook-up, we don't know what role he plays....and it takes approximately 24 hours for food to be digested until waste reaches the lower part of the system.
