I can honestly say I now FULLY understand the meaning of the words "it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something you later rely on in court'"

That's a whole lot of harm PR is racking up so. JMO

I also thought this at the time, how many times has he waited for young drunk girls wandering the streets alone after a night out and they’ve been too drunk to remember or to report?

You’d hope that they can come forward and report once his face is splashed everywhere if that is the case

That could be a possibility, in the Grace Millane - Jesse Kempson case, more victims did come forward but, in Relowicz's case, I think he would be more like to have physically assaulted victims who were drunk and that means they're less like to remember details well such as faces and sadly far less likely to report it as society is still judgemental and misogynistic when it comes to drunk girls being raped.

(Don't get me started on Ched Evans!!)

Trial now resuming

Mr Wright said: “Can you help us as to how you thought you were helping Libby Squire sitting in your car with your door open as she was on the floor at the entrance to Haworth Street?”

Relowicz responded: “She was sitting on the pavement and the car arrived and they started talking these ‘wide boys’ or ‘cocky boys’ started laughing and joking around I was simply waiting for her in case they did harm to her so I was waiting and looking.”

In his police interview Relowicz said he wanted to help “but no more than necessary because if they were there longer he would have driven off and not give a s*** about it.”

Relowicz said: “I wanted to help because she wanted my help. I was thinking about taking her to the police station but I wasn’t sure what to tell them. I could only understand simple words like ‘hello’ ‘how are you?’ and ‘are you alright?’”

Mr Wright has told the court Relowicz did not have his phone.

He said: “You left your phone at home when you were out driving around Hull that evening. Although you used it to access 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 when you were at home you also left it at home when you went out later.”

If other girls have come forward since he was charged with Libby's murder, would it be kept out of the press until after the trial ends?

I believe so as it would have to be a separate trail, I think they can only bring it up if he was convicted of it.

Best example I can use is someone local to me was on trial and found guilty of murder. But had a few theft cases he was also under investigation for. These weren’t listed in court and he was at court for those separately at a later date (despite already serving a life sentence).

Thinking the same myself Skigh. We might be in for some surprise revelations after this.

I would think so.

I think his previous convictions were for crimes with good forensic or physical evidence (stolen goods in boot). There may be many more where the evidence was washed away or harder to obtain. Like the ones he didn't plead not guilty to. They ried because there was already enough to put him away so they couldn't justify an expensive trial.

But they did remain on file. So I'm guessing they could be used against him if others have come forward? That would need a legal answer

Prosecution say Relowicz 'shepherded' Libby into his car

In the footage Libby can be seen walking from left to right at the end of Haworth Street.

A figure can then be seen walking to her. Libby can then be seen walking to the middle of Haworth Street followed by the second figure, said to be Relowicz which he says is “probably right.”

The flashes showing the car being unlocked can be seen then. Another double flash is seen a “few seconds later.”

Mr Wright said: “The first time you unlocked the car, Libby hadn’t got in it had she?”

Relowicz said: “I only pressed the keys to show her it was my car.”

Mr Wright says Relowicz pressed the keys earlier to make sure the car was open so he could “shepherd” her into it.

He said: “She didn’t want to get into your car did she? That’s why there is a delay before you press the button again isn’t there? Because either by force or persuasion you finally managed to get her into your car.”

Relowicz denies the claims.

Relowicz put seatbelt on Libby as she was 'drunk so could open the door at any time'
Mr Wright has asked what the delay between the first and second unlocking of the car was.

Relowicz said: “The first time was when the Scenic drove off, leaving her and she started trying door handles. I got out of the car and went to tell her it wasn’t my car she was trying.

“That’s why I pressed two or three times so the lights lit up and she could see. I asked her about the address a few times.”

Mr Wright has reminded Relowicz he told police Libby “jumped into” his car.

He has said today she “got into” the car.

Mr Wright said: “We have not just watched footage of someone jumping into the car.”

Relowicz said: “You can’t see anything there. I was asking for her address, I did her seatbelt and that was it.”

He has repeated that he did her seatbelt “for safety” and “if she sat down and I had the ignition on an alarm would go off saying the seatbelt was not on".

He added: “She was drunk so she could open the door at any time while I was driving.”

Relowicz asked about Libby's broken watch
Mr Wright says the watch did not have a broken clasp and asked “what happened” between Libby and Relowicz that caused it to come off.

The prosecutor said: “Were you grabbing her wrist trying to get her into your car? Did you come into contact with her watch?”

Relowicz said “no” and said he has “no idea” about the watch.

You asked this before and I gave you the reference.
12.42 on 13 Jan:
CCTV sited on a nearby yeast factory managed to capture Relowicz and Libby arriving and Relowicz leaving, Mr Wright said.
UK - Libby Squire, 21, last seen outside Welly club, Hull, 31 Jan 2019 *ARREST* #18

CCTV from a house/s on Claremont Ave has also been mentioned, but I haven't looked for that reference.
I was replying to someone else, not asking a question. At what point did the CCTV from the yeast factory catch them parked up?- I don’t think it could do, the yeast factory might have caught them driving down a nearby road, but not the lay-by or actually entering the park.

I think the fact he left his phone at home on both park visits shows some degree of pre-planning. I think he knew his phone would trace his exact location and for reasons only known to him he did not want anyone to know where he had been that night. JMO

Was the watch broken or not??????

I think the person who found it thought it was,but that is because she could not work out how the clasp worked. It was passed around the jury.
