Bear with me..but the first thing I thought was that she was one of those parcour people. Maybe she was trying to do some stunts and misjudged her distance? You can laugh if you want, this is me on my first cuppa coffee. lol moo

If the COD was head trauma it could explain her elongated face. When I first saw the pic, I thought that she might have a broken jaw. MOO
Also, I can see Jess looking that rough, but if the shape of the UID's face is natural, then it's not Jess. Jessica had those wide jawbones and almost a cleft chin. moo

Yea I just saw a video on Youtube of a woman jumping onto a moving train from an overhead platform..scary stuff.

I agree. Last night I went down some rabbit hole of train hopping, squatting, etc. (on the Internet!). There are all sorts of forums about it online and lots of photos. There seem to be two main groups of people who do this:

1. Homeless people, drug addicts
2. Younger wannabe hippies who think it's cool. As you mentioned earlier, they tend to wear similar styles of clothing to our UID. They are sometimes homeless, but by choice.

My guess is she was a little bit of both: Maybe started out in group 2 and then developed an addiction.
 
Also, I think it's quite probable she started out in CA, as per the train route described above. I found a blog online by someone who did this and he describes the train originating in LA and then making stops through High Desert (which he calls extremely meth-addled) before arriving in LV and then moving on to Utah.

I've seen that pointy chin look before in postmortem photos. It is the result of a slacked jaw, the relaxing of the muscles at the TMJ's, combined with the postmortem loss of muscle tone along the jawline that sometimes gives the decedent's chin and jaws a narrow, pointy look.

People who live the kind of lifestyle this doe more than likely was living check in on the forum. I wonder if someone joined and posted her info if someone would step forward and have some information. If not a real name, then at least a street name.

A lot of the moles on this MP's face match up with the dark spots on the UID's post-mortem photo:

The eye color is blue vs. green, the MP is a year younger than the lower end of the age estimate and the UID does not appear to have any trace of a lip piercing like the MP had. The UID is also lacking a mole on the left temple while the MP has a noticeable one there. But the height, weight and strawberry blonde hair description match, and the MP ran away from a substance abuse treatment facility.

I'm pretty sure I found Ariel's FB page (not linking here in case I'm wrong, but I'm 99% positive it's her). Her teeth look fine and she seems to have a large tat on her arm. She would have had to go downhill really fast to look like our UID in just a few months.

it looks to be a marijuana plant with a central peace sign interior. I've seen similar tattoos.

Note the shape and aspect of the leaves being the typical star shape we associate with the pot plant.

I would also like to point out that in death a persons face can change almost instantly, sunken in, nose position etc.

I work in a nursing home and have witnessed several times people who have become deceased and their faces look so distorted and almost not like them, it's frighting how much a body changes moments after death.
 
You also have to realize, she was supposedly on a train for six hours. If her clothing was really that skimpy I wonder if she wasn't dead before she got on. So you have the chill and the wind damage to her skin. She might have just had bad teeth due to lowersocioeconmic reasoning. She might not have been a drug abuser at all and we might just be looking at this from the wrong angle.

I know a lot of college students who have tattoos similar to the one that Jane Doe had. So I'm kind of hoping she was a young college student, at least then she'd be reported missing quickly..
 
She was most likely a junkie. Her case reminds me of the cold case where a John Doe was found in a chimney and it turned out that he was a robber. I think this Jane Doe was probably in the commission of a crime and things went bad.
