Pearce said investigators uncovered several pieces of evidence inside the car, including a shell casing, but wouldn't comment further on what was recovered. Police have "some leads," he said.

I went to topix to get any local rundown and couldn't find anything. She was just posting on Facebook the other day. Sad indeed.

Thank you DTP. I quickly glanced at her page so I didn't know. But her last post stated that she felt someone was trying to have their friend send her a Facebook friend request with the hopes of the other friend spying.

So hopefully someone will be questioned by police. But the sad part is that it's the holidays and this time of year will hurt the family forever. R.i.p Heather.
 
I don't think the supposed stalker did it. I don't know who did it, but IDK, I'm just not feeling the "stalker." And it's turned into a witch hunt in the local FB group for this girl who was supposedly stalking Heather. Of course, the family knows more than the public does, but it, for me, doesn't make sense. Why would Heather be 30 minutes from home, in an area where she has no known connections, with the stalker....?

It was stated to help someone with car trouble. So that person could have used a ruse to lure her out the house via through another person.

Just like they tried to do on Facebook. Jmo.

But agree. We are all clueless for the moment.

Investigators in Spotsylvania County, Virginia say they have “several leads” and “lots of tips” in the shooting death of 21-year-old Heather Ciccone, who was found Sunday night, dead in her car in the driveway of a home.

Ciccone was shot in the back of the head with a small-caliber pistol, police told the Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star. She was found slumped over the wheel of her 2010 Kia at the end of a driveway on Piney Branch Road. Investigators say there is no connection between Ciccone’s death and the owners of the home.

Ciccone’s mother, Stacy, told NBC Washington her daughter said she was going out to help a friend whose car had broken down. She left their home at about 9:30 p.m., and never returned. She was found dead at about 11 p.m., police said.

Sounds like the shooter must have been in the back seat. Really makes me wonder if the call for car trouble help really was a ruse and there is more than one person involved.

I have also been thinking the car trouble call was a set up.
 
Maybe she was pregnant and the bf had someone kill her. But the shooter is a coward. She didnt weigh much. They could have handled this differently via simple assault. Which is still wrong, but better than taking her life. Jmo
 
A small caliber gun sounds like a hit. It used to be favored in mob type hits and done in the same fashion. Shot to the back of the head.

So terribly sad...always a reminder that the people we love are what really matter in this life and we need cherish them every second..justice for Heather no doubt.

"I know that this girl had been threatening and stalking. I wasn't here but my husband and other daughter were here and I'm told she's driven by a few times, but I can't confirm that with my own eyes. I haven't seen it but my family members have," Stacy told Dateline.

This case, honestly, is frustrating to me. It would be a slam dunk if the person on FB who is rumored to have been a stalker was the perp. But if it wasn't that person? If they didn't have anything to do with it? Then what?
