Tuesday, December 17th:
*Omnibus Hearing (@ 8:30am PT) - WA – Estela Torres Rodriguez (54) (last seen Mar. 28, 2019, reported missing Mar. 29, 2019, Pasco; not found) – only for *Clemente Rodriguez Torres (34) son arrested (9/19/19 & waived his extradition to the Tri-Cities) crossing Mexico-US Border. Charged (10/2/19) & arraigned (10/8/19) with 1st degree murder. Plead not guilty. $1M bond.
Trial was set to begin on 12/2/19 moved to 1/15/20.
10/2/19 Update: Clemente Rodriguez Torres had been evading law enforcement until Thursday, when he was arrested by U.S. Border Parole officials. He was attempting to enter the U.S. at the San-Ysidro border, and was detained in the San Diego County Jail. Tiburcio Larios Rodriguez is still in Mexico. Wednesday, 10/2, Rodriguez Torres appeared in Franklin County Superior Court via live video feed from the county jail. In the brief hearing, Kennewick lawyer Theodore Schott was appointed to represent him. Bail remains at $1 million. Rodriguez Torres is scheduled to return to court Oct. 8 to enter a plea.
10/8/19 Update: Plead not guilty. Next pretrial hearing on 11/5 & trial is scheduled for 12/2/19. 11/5/19: Hearing is continued to 11/19. 11/19/19: Today pretrial management hearing has been cancelled. Trial for 12/2/19 has also been cancelled. Next Omnibus hearing on 12/17, pretrial management hearing continued to 12/31. Trial set for 1/15/20.
*Carlos Torres Rodriguez (31) son – All charges dismissed (6/4/19). Prosecutors say that they can refile charges if and when they deem it appropriate. After a meeting recently with detectives, the Prosecutors office believes that there could be additional information that could be necessary before proceeding to trial.
*Tiburcio Larios Rodriguez (63) estranged husband. Murder warrants issued (4/1/18) & charged with 1st degree murder. $1M bond. Believed to have fled to Mexico.
