The Cumberland Police Department is attempting to check the welfare of Hailey A. Anderson Friday, Sept. 24.

Anderson is missing and has reportedly not made contact with her friends, family, or children since Sept. 16.

The 43-year-old is listed with a description as a 5'4'', 150-pound Caucasian woman with brown hair and blue eyes.

Police say she was last seen leaving a casino in Turtle Lake, heading eastbound on HWY 8.

She was reportedly supposed to be traveling to Hibbing, Minnesota but never arrived.

Authorities add that on the date she went missing, Anderson made a "frantic" phone call to a friend stating her boyfriend had hit her, but the call ended soon thereafter.

Anderson has not been heard from since that call.

According to a police report, Anderson usually makes contact with friends and family daily.

Officials report that Hailey's phone was active Friday, Sept. 24 around 3:30 p.m. near Luck, Wisconsin.

Anderson drives a 1998 Honda CR-V, red in color, with Wisconsin registration ALH-2987.

Worrying from above:

Authorities add that on the date she went missing, Anderson made a "frantic" phone call to a friend stating her boyfriend had hit her, but the call ended soon thereafter.

Anderson has not been heard from since that call.

Was the bf going with her to Minnesota? Where is he now and what is he saying?

Who has the kids or are they adult children?

So her phone went off 8 days after she last made contact. Could she just have had enough of the bf and needed to get away to decide what to do?

Not sure what was going on. However, she was charged back in February of 2020 with drug related charges and bail jumping. The one charge is a Felony D punishable by up to 25 years in jail and/or a fine of up to $100,000. She and her attorney appeared for a hearing on August 28, 2021. While it isn't entirely clear what she would be pleading to, a plea hearing was scheduled for October 1st, 2021. A non-forwardable letter for the plea was sent to her and returned undeliverable on or about September 8th. 4 counts of Bail Jumping were charged on September 10th.

It is possible she is on the run. It is possible that the boyfriend could be tied up in charges of his own and might have just learned of a plea deal and things went sideways. It all could just be a coincidence that she went missing after jumping bail but I don't think so.

All of the people in that jail report processed in that same day (2/26/20) prior to her entry and the one after were all arrested at the same time in the same incident.

The arrest in the news.

The best case is she is on the run.

The woman in the last link of same name is 10/11 years older. How did you determine it is same?

I see in the other charges though date of birth is given as 1978, which would tie in.

Lot of police run-ins there!

Police had previously said that Anderson’s phone was active near Luck on Friday, but now say that that information is inaccurate.

Her last known location was near South Range on September 17, at 3 a.m.

They got that badly wrong then, didn't they.
I've edited the thread's title to reflect the change.

The charge under the 1978 dob is her. See the case filed on 2/27/20 (arrested 2/26/20).
Because of the arrest date, the charges filed, and the docket entry where bail conditions order her to have no contact with a list of people by initials and those initials match the names of all of the other people arrested listed in the article. It is only that the article got her age wrong, The mugshot is her.

So she was likely on drugs back in 2020. Do we know what's happened in the meantime? Is her boyfriend a drug addict? Is she still using? If drugs are involved, is it possible her boyfriend really didn't hit her, she imagined it?

It would give us a better read of the legal situation if we knew something about the plea. The person who was in the car with her when she pulled up to that raid to deliver 15 grams of meth took a plea for 6 years (In jail since July). If he took responsibility for the meth then Hailey could have been pleading to less time or a lesser charge. On the other hand, if she was holding the bag on this and the only way for a lesser sentence was to give LE someone higher in the food chain, things get dangerous for her.

Since she has skipped on bail in previous cases as well as this case there is a chance she did so again but I think that is the only way she turns up alive.

Hailey A. Anderson was last seen on September 16 at 7:53 p.m. leaving the Turtle Lake Casino.

Police said that Anderson was then seen headed eastbound on Highway 8 in Turtle Lake. Her last known location was near South Range, Wis. in Douglas County, about 85 miles north of Turtle Lake, at 3:00 a.m. on September 17. A previous report distributed by law enforcement contained inaccurate information that Anderson was possibly in Luck, Wis. on September 24, and a correction with new details about Anderson’s last known location was issued Sunday morning.

Anderson’s cell phone last pinged to Cumberland, about 11 miles northeast of Turtle Lake and about 74 miles south of South Range, on September 16 before it was turned off. Anderson was supposed to be traveling to Hibbing, Minn. but never made it to her destination. She has friends and family in Minnesota.

Cumberland Police provide new details in search for missing woman

Authorities find body, vehicle in search for missing WI woman

The search for a missing Wisconsin woman who had been traveling to Minnesota when she disappeared appears to have ended with a tragic discovery.

The Cumberland Police Department said Hailey Anderson's vehicle was found early Monday near the edge of the Amincon River in Amnicon, Wisconsin, about 20 miles from the Minnesota border and Duluth.

A body, believed to be that of the 42-year-old, was also found nearby. Police said an official identification is pending, but offered its "sincerest condolences" to Anderson's family and friends.

Early Monday, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office found her vehicle in the river bank of the Amnicon River, with police saying it appears the car went off Highway 53 and crashed.

The vehicle's driver — which police believe to be Anderson — was thrown from the vehicle and died.
The police department said an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
