I've said this previously but I feel there is a real possibility that BL blocked Gabby's parents numbers.
The texts and calls wouldn't have come through to the Laundries.
BL could have potentially continued with his fairy tale to his parents, maybe they broke up and she continued on with a friend.
They'd have had no clue until LE came calling once GP was reported missing.

They already had an attorney the first time LE knocked on their door, they handed them the card. I’m not sure how they would’ve known Gabby‘s mother had reported her missing since they were not communicating with her. I think they were prepared for that knock which begs the question why did they already think they needed an atty.

I can't get my head around this either.
I would be jumping out of my skin with the press camped outside of my house.
Truly baffling.
MOO.

FWIW they could be scared of him now too...he could have threatened them, I understand the escort but this was over the top, could they be trying to draw him out? so many questions ...

Brian Laundrie manhunt: Woman in Wyoming says she picked him up hitchhiking

EXCLUSIVE: A second woman has come forward to say she gave a hitchhiking Brian Laundrie a ride in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming on Aug. 29, two days after Gabby Petito was last seen.

Norma Jean Jalovec, a seasonal Wyoming resident from Florida, told Fox News Digital on Friday that after seeing Baker's TikTok video, she realized she had also picked up Laundrie on Aug. 29 and dropped him off around 6:30 or 6:40 MST at the Spread Creek dispersed camping area, where Petito's remains were discovered weeks later.

Jalovec said she spontaneously decided to visit a Catholic church called Chapel of the Sacred Heart in Grand Teton National Park that Sunday for its 5 p.m. MST service. The church is about 1.2 miles from Jackson Lake Dam, where Baker said she dropped Laundrie off after he "freaked out" and asked to get out of the couple's Jeep.

Jalovec said she picked him up around 6:15 or 6:20 past the dam on a stretch of road toward Spread Creek. He was walking backward and holding out his thumb, like so many do in that area of the National Park, she told Fox News.

"I picked him up…" Jelovec said. "… Something just said, 'Hey, ask him where he’s going.'"

Laundrie, who sat in the passenger seat of Jalovec's 4Runner, asked if she was going to Jackson. When she told him no because she lives in the opposite direction, he asked her if she'd drop him off at the Spread Creek dispersed camping area, which she agreed to, Jalovec said.

Spread Creek is about a 20-minute drive from the dam.

"Everything's legitimate. Everything's corroborated. I already talked to the FBI," Jalovec said, adding that she didn't realize she had given a ride to Laundrie until after she saw Baker's TikTok video and emphasized the important role social media has played in helping to solve this case.

Jalovec described having the same small talk with Laundrie that Baker reported in her TikTok. He told her that he spent time hiking near Snake River and that he had a fiancé. He told her he had seen elk and moose but no bison, and when she asked him if he needed any gas money, he said no.

On the ride to Spread Creek, Jalovec said she took a sharp right turn, causing a Bible on her dashboard to fall onto Laundrie's lap. He picked up the book and put it back on the dashboard.

The 23-year-old asked Jalovec to drop him off at the gate of the remote campground, which has a single dirt road that extends miles to various camping sites in the area; at 6:30 p.m. MST in August, there would have still been some daylight to see into the camping area. Jalovec responded saying she could drive him inside, which is when he tried to "get out of the moving car," she said.

Jalovec said she joked with Laundrie about wanting to impress his fiancé by hiking into the campground rather than hitching a ride, but he only responded by insisting that he be let out of the vehicle.

CNN Live’s (television) breaking news headline now is “Laundrie left parents’ home Tues without phone and wallet”. Is this new?

It's the first I have heard of it.
He most likely has a burner phone, so no need for his phone and just because he left his wallet behind doesn't mean that he also left the contents of said wallet behind. Jmo.

I really thought the parents would have been polygraphed by now.
This kid is very impulsive. Doesn't seem to have impulse control or any coping mechanisms when he gets frustrated.
Has he ever faced repercussions/consequences for outbursts? And where did he learn that it is acceptable to hit/slap your partner?
Probably at home.
This seems to be his first serious relationship? I was surprised to hear he had already proposed to Gabby while not having a job/career/education plan of his own. And his mother was reportedly overjoyed when she heard about the proposal. I bet she felt relief knowing that her troubled son finally found someone special who could tolerate him. Her son getting married young, not pursuing education, living in her home is the best outcome she had ever hoped for.
Feelin' a little salty today...

Due to personal reasons I’ve been unable to be here for months, however when I saw this case on the news I had to return. I’ve read most of the threads and would like to thank everyone for all your compassion and hard work, and especially the mods and Tiff in particular who has been so gracious in the way she’s kept order in the fastest running threads I’ve ever seen. This case is beyond heartbreaking. What a waste of a beautiful young life.

An interesting interview with Chief Medical Examiner, Dr William Morrone.

The body will probably be close to mummification unless it was under the ground and wrapped. If you assume that the body was exposed, the right temperature and humidity existed for rapid decay through the first 3 stages of decomposition.

A preliminary autopsy is to identify the remains and begin the paperwork for prosecution. It also means there’s going to be a second autopsy.

The second autopsy may involve federal experts and FBI resources. It might take place at the closest university that has a medical school, FBI Headquarters in Quantico, VA or the nearest army/air force base. The FBI might want forensic anthropologists and entomologists because of insect involvement, and a toxicology report will also need to be obtained.

Cause of death is discussed at 6:49. Some of the most important facts may not be known until the matter goes to court.

If Gabby’s body goes to an army base or Quantico, the family might have to wait 7-10 days before they can bring her home.

So Laundrie left his parent's home Tuesday and didn't take his phone or wallet. Phone, okay, he didn't want to be traced. Wallet... no ID, no money, etc. Planning to off himself?
Did someone say his ID was at his home/property? Or no money? Wallet is a just a container for those things. Maybe someone is being slick.

Or he got a fake ID along the WY - FL drive (or after) so left his own behind. Safer that way and a slight confusion.

NEW: source close to Laundrie family tells @ChrisCuomo that Brian Laundrie left his parents' home in North Port, Florida last Tuesday WITHOUT his cell phone and wallet. The source also said Brian’s parents were concerned that he might hurt himself. go.cnn.com

BBM, redBM

So, naturally, you wait four days to report him missing. This is either NOT TRUE or they don't care about their kid....which is it?

Poor Brian Entin has been in that neighbor's driveway for days on end. I really like his reporting though. I've checked his twitter feed constantly.
Me too. He's a great old fashioned intrepid newshound.. I love accompanying him on his night lives 'outside the house' (of horrors)
He's great at engaging public interest..

This made me laff out loud! Thanks, we needed that. ;)...

Honestly, at this point I think his parents are complicit. Maybe they weren't in the beginning because he fed them a line of BS or maybe he came clean and they've been trying to do damage control the whole time. Either way, I very strongly believe they are now complicit. And I would not be surprised if their 3 day camping trip dropped him off somewhere far away.
ITA. I think his parents have been his biggest enablers for a very long time. BL could be in Mexico. jmo

  • Christopher Laundrie, 62, and wife Roberta, 55, were spotted in Orlando, Florida, on Thursday, hours after breaking cover and leaving their North Port home
  • The couple drove 150 mi to Orlando to meet attorney Steve Bertolino and to stop at a library, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal
  • A federal arrest warrant was issued for their son Brian on Wednesday
  • In surreal scenes, undercover agents - believed to be the FBI - followed the Laundries inside and hovered in the aisles as they kept their eyes on them
  • They waited inside the library for around 30 minutes, not stopping to look at a single book or display, before hopping back into their red Dodge Ram truck
  • The pair stopped by another building for an hour before driving back home, tailed the entire way by the same convoy of unmarked law enforcement vehicles
  • Earlier on Thursday, the Laundries were seen returning to their home after a trip to the police station in North Port
  • At the same time, Brian Laundrie's silver Mustang was returned by a tow truck crew after being seized by FBI agents on Monday
  • The vehicle was impounded after it was found abandoned last week at the nearby Carlton nature reserve

  • Brian Laundrie parents are escorted by law enforcement as they return to their home | Daily Mail Online
Let’s go to the library and not make it obvious we are out of place (not look at books)

He has a backpack, no need for a wallet. MOO
