Yeah, I never heard of a single federal government office that skipped a beat (or paycheck) during the pandemic... personally I can guarantee my friend who works for the State Department never missed a day. In fact he got overtime.
Our courthouse shut down for a bit. And trials all over the country were postponed. Government agencies weren't entirely untouched by this.

Is that someone’s reflection at the door or is there someone in there?
Dog the Bounty Hunter shows up at Brian Laundrie’s family home in North Port, knocks on door | FOX21 News Colorado
Creepy, but I think it's a reflection

I think we're talking about two different things. GP is documented to have been very much alive after BL returned from the mysterious trip that occurred while she was staying in a hotel in Salt Lake City. The trip occurred before they went on to Grand Teton.
Thank you - I didn't catch that. Not surprising considering the velocity and volume of info in this case!

Amateur opinion and speculation

And if GP didn't write the text, the only other person that could would be Brian, given phone locking.
Not necessarily. It's been posited here that Laundrie could have caused Petito's death, taken her phone, and utilized her fingerprint or facial recognition to unlock her phone. Obviously, I have no idea if that actually occurred... but I saw that speculation here a couple of times or more. Soooo, if Laundrie could have done that, who's to say another bad actor could not have?

I'm not saying others wouldn't do it, I'm saying that I don't think HE would. and that's just my opinion. Also, they were in an undesignated camping spot, supposedly witnessed parking there on the 26th and they left on the 27th to drive an hour out to get commercialism restaurant food and then come back and park in the exact same undesignated spot? It just doesn't work for me. So, like I said, if there's proof, then I'd be like, "well, wow. I guess they did do it. that's crazy." but without proof, it's a piece of the puzzle that's hard to make fit.
Unless something else has come out lately, the restarant manager said that they were there. But did not explain proof of credit cards, etc, and did not specifically say it was the 2 of them in the altercation. She said they were very busy. I find it, as you do, so unlikely that they would return to that forlorn spot.

wait im confused, there is a service for gabby in both FL and NY today?

Was BL in regular high school? Private? Cyber? Was his childhood in the country? City? Some people live very sheltered lives and never have any friends but their relatives. We don’t even have a graduation photo or date? Don’t get me wrong but he seems like he never grew up. Living off mom and dad with his girlfriend, taking off whenever he pleased, a job at Publix? How long? Full time? Saved his money for trips? No real responsibility. Who paid for mustang? Her dad got the van lease. Makes me wonder about the Peter Pan syndrome. Never grow up snd entitlement

If I recall, Brian Laundrie went to Bayport-Blue Point High School, but his family lives in Sarasota. Did his family live in Long Island previously?

Brian Laundrie had jealousy and controlling issues.

Brian Laundrie is likely a narcissist as they are controlling and consumed by jealousy and envy. It is possible he is an injustice collector. They tend to be immature.

Probably not going to be the most liked post but JMO! I let my husband watch the police cam he’s like all they had to go off of was her saying she scratched him, he said idk how I would deal with the situation until your faced with it, I’m sure these cops feel terrible now but they had no way of knowing what was going to happen. Also the female officer had a heart to heart with Gabby!
Yesterday morning, I woke up feeling really sorry for these officers. I still do. These two human beings, no matter what good they’ve ever done, will be overshadowed by this one day. Not only by others but to themselves. I do hope they will go on to learn, grow and share new insights to improve training development for other officers. Idk what else to say. I’ll let someone else say it for me:
“Out of life’s school of war—what doesn’t kill me, makes me stronger.” Friedrich Nietzsche~1888

*The North Port PD led by the FBI have got this now. Change is gonna come.. Yes, they all genuinely want to find justice for Gabby. I think both the Department and Bureau feel there is also a bit of honor that needs to be restored to their reputations. If they can’t find him, ain’t nobody going to…
imo

Yes, I think he turned the phone off and possibly got rid of it the next day. He needed to give himself time before her family started to worry. For awhile it worked, since Gabby's mom said she assumed they were in an area with no service and didn't start to worry until about 9 or 10 days, after getting no response. She must have been furious when she found out Brian had been in Florida all that time. Imo

Like I said, the restaurant can corroborate all they want, but there is no receipt or paper trail or video. Taking it with a grain of salt until one of those is provided. Also, Brian is staunch in all of his views and would be aware of cross-contamination as well as his staunch views on commercialism. I'm not saying it's out of the question, but until there's proof, it just doesn't jibe.
I guess I believe them. Any receipt would have been handed over to LE already and the restaurant would have no other reason to corroborate the story on their Facebook page. But you're right, LE has not substantiated it publicly, so...

If I'm understanding it correctly, they were heading to Yellowstone next, supposedly meeting Rose there on the 29th, correct? I still wonder if they were camped at Spread Creek but in Jackson that day to get cash, gas, or a birthday present, etc. before they left for Yellowstone.

The scenario I keep coming back to has BL being so angry after Merry Piglets that he leaves GP at the campground, maybe without her phone. Maybe even locked out of the van (everything he seemingly will do if we believe the 911 call and Moab incident). He takes off hiking until he hitches back on the 29th. By then she's upset that he stranded her, and that they didn't meet Rose on time. That would have been an instant argument when he arrived back at the campground around 7ish pm, where she was sitting by the firepit, near where her body was found. Jmo.

Yes, he lived in a house his parents owned in Bayport (added to my map).

I have looked at this and wasn't sure what was off to me. Today I realized it's the curve of the eyebrows. BL eyebrows distinctively curve downward. The guy in the picture has straighter brows. MOO

The ears don't match either.

Down the road if we have a trial, as far as a defense, what about the different legal types of homocide? The one I'm concerned about, but hasn't been mentioned is Temporary Insanity or Insanity. The instance in Moab just lays the basis for that defense.
Homicide is when one human being causes the death of another. Not all homicide is murder, as some killings are manslaughter, and some are lawful, such as when justified by an affirmative defense, like insanity or self-defense. criminal law.
Wyoming is a state that allows an insanity defense. See collage of screenshots from link below to understand more.
