" Energy drinks can become very addictive, especially for children. Due to a high sugar intake, teens are more prone to latch on the addictive trait which could potentially become a gateway for other substances.

There are both positive and negatives when gulping an energy drink.
Although, it’s up to on how you choose to drink.
If you are a casual consumer, then these health effects shouldn’t be much of an issue.

However, if you choose to abuse the consumption of energy drinks, then it could spell danger."

I'm not sure what the relevance here is, besides one of the girls enjoyed some? ...

Is someone suggesting that they overdosed on energy drinks, perhaps? It’s quite rare but has happened. 10 grams of caffeine is typically fatal; death by caffeine is so rare because it’s hard to drink so much. Long-term use of 3-4 energy drinks a day have, rarely, landed a younger person in the hospital with cardiac issues. I’ll link to one such instance at the end. If energy drinks were their main source of hydration, they could possibly develop heart problems.

Besides, it also reflects their mental state.
I mean depending on such drinks to boost their mood.

This may have been posted already, but the Sydney Morning Herald has carried a story, "Dead Saudi sisters were ‘like two little sparrows ... scared of something’". The description of the sisters' behaviour seems to support that view, as does the withdrawn AVO.
The Saudi community in Australia is not particularly large and people tend to know each other. The embassy also takes a keen interest in the wellbeing of their citizens. The community also tend to be publicity shy, for a range of reasons. But is is interesting that the police have not mentioned anyone from the Saudi community saying they knew the women. Families in Saudi Arabia can often reach out to families, friends or associates here to make contact with relations with whom they have lost contact. This does not seem to have occurred here, suggesting the sisters' family in Saudi Arabia were not in touch with them.
What I found interesting is that the photos were of two young women not wearing a hijab, which women from KSA usually do. They appeared to have embraced Western dress. This is interesting, as it is quite a brave move, given the conservatism of the country.
Also, and this will likely emerge in the Coroner's Inquest, were they wearing pyjamas when they died or ordinary clothes.

It was I who first posted about energy drinks, wondering if the young women may have become addicted to them. That would at least explain their frequent trips to buy them. I also wonder if they drank so many of them that their stomachs were nearly always full, and so they didn't feel the need to eat much. Just wondering.

A very reasonable approach given the decrease of the workforce for hire, world-wise.
A reasonable approach from businesses looking to actively avoid paying employee benefits.

The man with restraining order needed Arabic interpreter in Court (DM link I sent earlier).

OK here is my idea based on experience with the Saudis. As everywhere in the world, people are the same in Saudi Arabia, same emotions, same problems. They might have great families, bad families, it is as everywhere else. It would seem to me that psychiatry or neurology is not discussed much there, as in many old countries. What if one of the girls developed paranoia towards the family member/s, accusing him/them of poisoning the food, etc? Then, sending the person outside the country (and maybe for treatment!), under the observation of a healthier sibling, would be expected behavior. Has it been a boy, chances are, more active control/help would be provided, but with girls, they were sent out on their own. If girls from rich families of Saudi Arabia can study at prestigious schools, why not sent out some for treatment?

When I look at the menu of the Wild Bean Cafe it screams haram to me. It seems bacon and sausage are the top most items in their sandwiches and pies. Except for desserts and coffee and smoothies it's slim pickin's in WBC if you are an observant Muslim.

According to media reports today, they renounced Islam and became atheists.

EXCLUSIVE: Startling new details in suspicious deaths of Saudi sisters as it emerges they escaped to Sydney during family holiday with $5000 in cash before changing their names and renouncing Islam

rbbm.
''The pair also drove a black BMW, though an attendant at a local service station told the Daily Mail the women seemed to only fill up the car at night, despite one of the sisters often visiting the store multiple times a day.

“One girl would come in to buy iced coffee and sometimes V [energy drink]. Sometimes two or three times a day,” she told the publication.

The woman said she never served her sister but would often see them walking up the street together.

She said she was “shocked and confused” after finding out what had happened to them, saying the sister she served was “so friendly” and “never looked sad”.

''Reports claim the pair had no friends and family in Australia.

By all accounts “they had very few connections in the country,” Nine Radio reporter Clinton Maynard told 2GB radio on Wednesday.

CASH IN THE BANK

Although cops have not revealed what the sisters did for a living, it appears the pair did not struggle to make ends meat.

Sources suggest they owned a black BMW coupe - which normally costs upwards of £21,000 - and lived in a modern, two-bedroom £280-per-week rented apartment.

They also arrived in Sydney by air – travelling a route which can cost up to £1,100 each.''

I'm speechless after reading the latest twist o_O

Although I suspected they might have changed their names.
They must have been desperate.

To renounce Islam is the gravest decision.

RIP beautiful girls.
What happened to you?
:(

Two young sisters escaped Saudi Arabia with $5000 during a family holiday, flew to Australia via Hong Kong, changed their names and renounced Islam - five years before their decomposing bodies were found in a Sydney unit.

That's according to new reports published in Middle Eastern newspapers on Friday.

Esra Abdullah Alsehli, 24, and Amaal Abdullah Alsehli, 23, were found dead in separate rooms of their first-floor apartment in Canterbury, in the city's south-west, when police conducted a welfare check on June 7.

However, news outlets based in Yemen have shed more light on the mysterious situation - reporting that the women fled their homeland with a wad of cash in 2017 due to a tumultuous relationship with their parents.

Good to know. And knowing that, I'm a little suspicious that foul play might be considered. The fact that the family have decide to let the authorities deal with the aftermath of their deaths suggests they washed their hands of them.

And the decision about their burial in Sydney is significant.

WOW. Totally unexpected. Usually such decisions take a lot of time if people were raised in religious environment since childhood. That, and usually very logical, science-based minds. Question is, how did Yemeni newspapers find out that the girls renounced Islam? Usually parents would not broadcast such information. Maybe they posted it on atheist SM? Would that be the way to find out more about their lives? Then, of course, they could easily become a target.

In one of the articles, with the layout of their apartment, it said that the plumber said there was something odd. Does anyone have any idea what he meant? I have no clue but it sounds strange.

If they were killed, it also must have happened during/immediately after the Ramadan, which is a sin in Islam.

OK I found something in Al Jazeera. There might be some confusion as AJ says their aliases were Reem and Rawan. DM says these were their initial names. But some things fit. Although, they have been living in Hong Kong for 6 mo and left on a family trip to Sri Lanka. But, abuse in home and renounced Islam.

Could it be the same girls?

I think so.
I think so too. One detail, they were waiting to leave till the younger sister would turn 18 in 2017. The younger sister was 23 in 2022. Also, details about their younger brother.

Here are their tweets from Hong Kong. Apparently, in 2019 they got visa in the “third country” and were moving. Said they won’t tweet anymore. Would live like everyone else.

Here is what Amnesty wrote about them
