Zach Bell, 22, disappeared from his job in Citronelle three weeks ago, the same night severe weather moved through the area. "His billfold, his money, his ID, all his fresh produce...his clothing, his backpack, tent and everything is there," his mother said.

Zach had been working with a couple off Middle Earth Road off and on for the last three years. Most recently, he was there for a week. He came home to Saraland to do laundry and pack fresh food then headed back.

"We have interviewed neighbors. We have followed up on leads. We know that the word is getting out. We're receiving calls from different cities in different areas," said Stringer.

Chief Stringer said crews have combed through the area numerous times. But no evidence of Zach's location has turned up. He also told FOX10 News the bad weather that moved through the area three weeks ago did not help either, washing away any footprints Zach might have left behind.

Is it possible he was taken by the rain?

Any idea what his job was? He was apparently working out of a tent?

Here's a map with the location of Middle Earth Road.

I wonder if the work involves a grow operation?

I asked on the citronelle police department site and the only response was please help us find him. I'm betting that's exactly what it was otherwise they'd just say. Probably totally legal and I really don't think it would have anything to do with his disappearance. It might help people look for him though if they knew that's the kind of work he was interested in.

Some updates:

He was last seen wearing shorts and a t-shirt. His direction of travel is unknown at this time.

From a March 3rd article:

He has sandy-brown hair and is very thin. Bell disappeared from his camper on Middle Earth Road. His wallet was found in his car. He has taken overnight hiking trips before, but never longer than two day and always had survival gear with him. This time, he did not have any gear with him.

Bumping for Zack. Him and Charles Bubba Jackson are two men missing from the area. Although there are a number of others missing from this area as well. These are the two most recent

That's what I was wondering as well. But it seems like his body would have washed up somewhere by now...? IDK

Mobile is the rainiest city in the country. We also have lots of waterways, woods, the delta and lots of alligators.
