"Missing 17-Year-Old Posted About Her Family and 'Finding Herself'

Before Missing Her Flight and Disappearing.

1748455659980.webp

In a TikTok post she shared two days before she went missing,
the teen participated in a social media trend in which she pretended to have coffee with her younger self.

At one point, the teen asked,
'Do me and mum get along
and did we finally make her proud?'

In response, she reportedly wrote that
'she will never be proud'

and that they didn’t see or talk to each other
'but it’s better like this'.

She ended the TikTok by noting
that she was prioritizing
'finding herself'.

Bishop’s family shared a statement with police about the
'sassy, feisty' young girl,
who
'followed her own beat to life'.”

Just remember everyone that in Aus, you can leave home at 16 years of age. Whilst not common for a 16 year old to move out, around 17 years old CAN be quite normal. Especially if you’re working. The picture here the family paint of PB is..odd. It’s painting a picture of someone who doesn’t care and wants to do things her way. Which if we’re being honest, many 17 year olds can be like that. They’re teens.
No one’s (her family) really talked about how she has her own ABN and cleaning supplies and she’s trying to make life work. Clearly, there’s some dysfunction in the family.
As someone who has personally come from a dysfunctional household and also has some qualifications in psychology, family MOSTLY say really nice things about their missing/deceased, some even feel guilt for how they may have treated them in the past.
Regardless, PB is still missing, she deserved so much more than she’s been dealt with and I believe she tried for a better life.
In my opinion, there’s still a small chance she’s alive and I hope she’s just run away and decided to start a new life. Without knowing what the police have, that hope will stay there and hopefully not too many more days pass and she’s found.

It seems to me
the phone was snatched from her hands when she wanted to contact bf.

And then the phone was disabled.

It all sounds ominous IMO.

Hi Everyone,
I have a question. Pheobe was last seen on "Airport Drive." Is Airport Drive a road? Was she walking? I'm confused, which is easy to do. LOL.
Thank you in advance for your help.

It's the approach road to the airport. The news reports say that she was last seen there when she was dropped off at 8.30am by the housemates, but as there is no indication who she was seen by, I assume that it was the housemates who said she was last seen there. The police know she didn't enter the airport.

There’s no actual facts around this. Airport drive is a road - police have just said “she was seen on airport drive” this could indicate in a car or walking with luggage.
They did say with luggage, so again this could indicate she was walking but also could be the flatmates saying she had her bags in the car and when they dropped her off (which they claim) they saw her walking toward the terminals.
So in short, yes it’s a road toward the airport, commonly used to drop off people to avoid paying for airport parking, she was last seen on airport drive with luggage. Everything else is speculation until we receive more info :)

Others early on in the thread were saying it wasn't a road you could stop on or safely walk along and cross.
Is it in fact regularly used for drop offs then?

Edit - fixed typo

I would lean towards Pheobe having made the call. Likely in a moment of fear during whatever happened, as it unfolded. She knew her boyfriend was expecting her, and no one else would be. She was estranged from her parents. If he heard screaming, yelling, anything he would have called the police.

That's my thought. It is what I would have done.

Poor Pheobe.

Safe, no! But there’s plenty of places to drop someone off. It’s not safe if there’s lots of traffic but realistically she could have be dropped off a side street and then walked along airport drive.

Australia doesn’t have great mobile coverage outside cities.

Locals, is the area around Gin Gin & to Bundaberg known for poor coverage & calls dropping out?

If so, the BF might not have thought it odd the call dropped out.

Why does Courier Mail seem to have way more information than any other media outlet? And of course they are the only one behind a paywall.

I wish she would have hollered for Help! Heartbreaking.
