This has got to be one of the strangest and most drawn out trials I have ever tried to follow. I'm really confused about defense attorneys showing up to court in casual clothing. Seems so unprofessional imo.

@miss_elenius

Jurors just wrapped their second day of deliberations in the murder trial of Nima Momeni, accused of killing Cash App founder Bob Lee. They’ll return Monday.

The Bob Lee trial started in mid-October & has involved a rotating cast of characters besides Lee & his alleged killer, Nima Momeni.

Often at the center: "the sister" Khazar, "the DJ" Bo, "the drug dealer" Jeremy.

Here's a who's who.

When Khazar Momeni took the witness stand in her brother’s murder trial, she described spending time on a Monday morning with a drug dealer she had just met. Her friend Bob Lee showed up and took a work call — he was a big name in San Francisco’s tech scene — and Bob invited over a DJ she once knew. The party didn’t last: Khazar didn’t get along with the DJ, blocked Bob’s number and, later in the evening, when things soured between Khazar and the drug dealer, she called her big brother to come rescue her.

Did Bob Lee snort coke with a paring knife or a collar stay? Nima Momeni’s fate may hinge on this question after defense attorneys showed a video of the CashApp founder holding what they argued was the weapon that, hours later, was used to kill him.

Ugh.
The defendant is not credible in my opinion at all. I'm hopeful for a guilty verdict for the victim, Bob Lee, today.

I'm still surprised that the defense was able to bring this into evidence in their closing remarks. New evidence is not permitted in closing remarks, so not sure what is going on with this.

I cant believe it either. Ive watched many trials and cant recall such behavior by a defense team. How did the judge not know before hand? Wish media would address it.

Anyway, I believe the jurors will get it right. The "surprise video" makes no sense and jurors will know that. The whole self-defense theory makes no sense.

Attorneys for defendant Nima Momeni on Tuesday wrapped up their closing argument with a surprise video clip they claimed showed fatal stabbing victim and Cash App founder Bob Lee doing cocaine with the same knife used to kill him hours later.

My understanding is the evidence had been entered, the prosecution failed to address and the defense withheld until seizing on it like Perry at closing in desperate gamesmanship. Though unheard, the coke-sniffing vid at The Battery was not ‘new’ evidence.

I don't recall seeing the defense present this evidence during the trial. If the jury hasn't seen it before, then I believe it is new evidence. Maybe we can get an attorney to weigh in on this.

If it was new evidence, would the prosecutor objected? I didn\t see the whole trial, so I'm not sure what all was introduced. It was a long drawn out trial. MOO
