Police searching for missing Rockford man (wifr.com)

Police are asking for help from the public in order to find 28-year-old Patrick Reum of Rockford. He was last seen in the area of 400 S. First Street on Saturday, Dec. 12 at around 6 p.m.

Reum is 5 feet and 11 inches, weighing 185 lbs.

Yes she does! Patrick's mom posted a photo of a billboard along with an update about a land search. Still no updates on his whereabouts, unfortunately. I hope the new billboard helps bring him home.

Has anyone heard any updates regarding the remains found near Newburg Road in Rockford? I have heard some ideas that some think it might be Patrick. I hope this is not the case and that he is still out there, to be found alive somewhere.

This is the first I've heard of these remains being found but per the article below, the autopsy was just performed two days ago. It may be a while yet before we learn the person's identity.

There were also remains found on March 9 which are unidentified. These were found just 5 miles from where Patrick was last seen.

The remains are those of an adult but have not been positively identified.

The remains have since been transported to a forensic anthropologist’s office in Indiana for further study.

Thank you. Yes, I have been following all the various remains that have been found around Winnebago County over the past month or two. This is very unusual for this area; I live around here, and it is not normal; this is why it has caught my attention.

The remains on Auburn were positively ID'd as a missing Mendota man, 33 year old Wesley Shaver.

• Remains were found near the U.S. Hwy 20 bypass and Illinois 251.
• The remains are those of an adult but have not been positively identified.

March 20, 2021

• Remains found in a wooded area in the 3600 block of Auburn Street have been identified as Wesley J. Shaver, 33, of Mendota.
• The cause of Shaver’s death is pending further studies.
• The Rockford PD said Shaver’s death does not appear to be suspicious.

March 31, 2021

• The skeletal remains of an adult were found at about 5:20 p.m. in a wooded area near the intersection of Mill and Newburg roads.
• An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday, April 1.
• Sheriff Caruana said that there is a possibility this death was a suicide, however a death investigation is ongoing.

Mugshot from DUI arrest out of state. Face looks thinner in the photo, hair obviously different, but same age, height, weight, and first middle last name. If convicted could he have lost his driving privileges? If he couldn't have driven and was on foot that might help in a search as he couldn't have gotten too far without wheels. The charge was from 2018 - if he lost his license, I don't think it would have been for this long. If I recall correctly, he left walking from his residence. Unfortunately, there is a river fairly close to that area.
