IMO very little of the world cares about reputation anymore. Especially in this walk.I assume he will be given the customary credit for time served as well
Personally, I think he is ruined. at least reputation wise.
I think the government wanted the RICO and racketeering stuff so badly because then his assets are subject to permanent seizure.
Instead he will serve minimum, if any time, have some fines to pay which he can well afford, and he walks away back to his privileged lifestyle, still feeling above the law.
At least the world now knows about his little tootsie roll. Can't unring that bellNancy Grace discussing his tootsie roll will ever live rent free in my head.
A flight risk and the counts he was convicted of involve interstate prostitution... Yea sounds like a great idea..NOTProsecution wants SC to do 20 yrs, Defense wants him released on $1M bail to await sentencing.
LETTERS DUE IN BY 1 pm.
Not even close. There weren't murder charges. Casey Anthony is about as close as I can think of.Someone on CNN said that this might be this generation's OJ equivalent.
I was not on this jury but I've been on juries in that court. I was polled after each verdict each time.that count was reportedly the one that jurors said they had a specific juror who they could not reach an agreement on a verdict for. At first I was thinking there was a lone holdout for not guilty on that charge. Now, based on the way the other charges were decided, I think they may have had one who wanted to vote guilty on that charge while the majority wanted to vote NOT.
Who knows, has anyone heard if the jury was polled?
Yes, I believe that he has already written a rap song about his adventure in jail. He probably already has planned his coming home celebration freak off.IMO very little of the world cares about reputation anymore. Especially in this walk.
IMO, it is disgusting that guilty people often walk or receive a light sentence because they can afford top of the line legal representation. It's been going on a lot longer than 10 years.Of all the terrible and shocking things that have transpired in the US over the last 10 years, the blatant skew of the legal system in favour of the rich and famous is, in my opinion, the most egregious.
BBM. I agree. MOO this sounds like the jurors thought this was what CV and Jane "traded" to help their careers. As a woman, I'm disgusted, and I hope CV and Jane will be safe from retribution for their very brave actions. It seems the jury wasn't going to go further than characterizing it as victims were willingly participating in a rough/pushy/abusive orgy but for the betterment of their careers. I don't know really where I stand on this since I haven't paid much attention to the details.
I can see some of that line of thought, maybe, but am still surprised there weren't any serious charges given a guilty verdict.
Wow, just seeing this.
I actually wonder about intimidation, this guy has a LOT of shady connections, and a LOT of funds.
Appalling.
