Prosecutor Maurene Comey said given the complexity of the trial and the disparity between the parties’ positions on the sentencing guidelines range, she doesn’t believe the court has enough information to sentence Sean “Diddy” Combs without a pre-sentencing investigation.

Comey said the government is willing to work with the defense to move the process forward as quickly as possible.

Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo — who had suggested waiving the pre-sentencing investigation in order to expidite the sentencing schedule — said the defense believes it has strong arguments to make on Combs’ behalf for a sentence below the guidelines.

When the judge denied bail, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mouth dropped and his eyes widen.

Judge Arun Subramanian again confirmed that Sean “Diddy” Combs’ bail has been denied.

He scheduled a remote hearing for next Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET to address the sentencing scheduling.

The judge is off the bench and court is done for the day.

BBM. I agree. MOO this sounds like the jurors thought this was what CV and Jane "traded" to help their careers. As a woman, I'm disgusted, and I hope CV and Jane will be safe from retribution for their very brave actions.
At this point I think CV and Jane need witness protection. Bad things have happened with people peeved off Diddy.

I kind of think sentencing will be the max allowed based on what judge had to say

For what he was charged with, I'd say the verdict was accurate. I'd actually acquit on prostitution also (jury nullification). It was ridiculous to make this a RICO case. He isn't a Mafia don. He'll probably get closer to the minimum. There aren't many in prison for the crimes he was convicted of, and they're not doing long sentences on the first offense.

Yes, I believe that he has already written a rap song about his adventure in jail. He probably already has planned his coming home celebration freak off.

This is actually going to embolden him more. In some ways he is going to be even more powerful than before. His fans will fawn over him defiantly like he is a king. As all of this goes mess on, the message being sent is that he is not a bad person.

Gosh that is just a taste of how he will be viewed from his fans.

Was it an overshoot of the government or that there wasn’t adequate evidence?

I expected to see many more females come forward and I expected to see more witnesses describing his actions.

Both. The charges he was given weren't appropriate for what he actually did. It probably should've been a state case. There was plenty of reason for doubt... The text messages were especially damning.

My comment got deleted because I forgot to add imo but this is also my opinion. I believe he will likely abuse and hurt more but also be more popular and make more dollars.

And while he isn’t a mafia don - the underlying connections between celebrities was part of this I believe but that was very much not shown here.

I feel like we expected a piece of the puzzle that never showed up

Diddy has deep pockets, and money rules the world. The whole thing is a joke and I feel sorry for the people brave enough to come forward and testify against him

No jurors coming up for interviews on the YT lawyer circuit?
Scary thought for them if any are considering it from what we're seeing with KR's jury.
imo

Yeah, but connections between celebrities isn't the same as running a criminal enterprise. The government shouldn't have gone that route. It's their own fault. RICO laws are pretty dumb to begin with... They punish patterns of behavior rather than the actual criminal activity.

I didn't follow this case closely, but I didn't see much evidence of anything besides he is not a nice or moral person. All the resources used to get convicted of two violations of the Mann Act! That is a 100+ year old law actually pertaining to transporting minors across state lines for immoral purposes.

What really hurt their case were the text messages where Cassie was actually the one begging HIM for a freak-off. So it was Cassie's word at the time of the incident vs Cassie's word years later. That's enough for reasonable doubt.

well I wasn't expecting justice to win ...

and I feel terrible for Cassie and all the witnesses who will now be looking over their shoulders for life

I wonder if Sean Combs will face more charges if that is the case.
