I can see how this case qualifies for a change of venue ... so I guess the DA has to weigh all options, all pros and cons, as to whether or not a change of venue is in the best interest of justice for Holly !

DGC, I don't know if MA is involved, only from reading elsewhere so I sign up for updates on these guys from jail to jail. Can't follow JA though via Vinelink, he's in federal custody. MA has been mentioned over the years though.
As for the extra protection, well, that is a huge effort to protect these guys. Has the county turned vigilante on these perps? Sounds like a change of venue at it's inception to me.

Just a report on TV5 that Stowe does not confirm that he cut ties. This seems like a hot mess. I think the media has this thing all messed up trying to squeeze dollars out of donuts. I believe any tests that have already been done by TBI would still be valid and would have to testify in Court.

At the very least it seems to me that all three agencies have a serious communication problem. Less than 24 hours before pre-trial motions and these guys are having a pi$$ing contest as to who works for who. The Sheriff is giving out his security details publicly, including a helicopter in the air during the proceeding. I think it's fair to assume that it is not his helicopter. So does that mean since Stowe did not show for an "emergency" meeting that TBI is going to say "you can't use my helicopter"? Gwyn says Stowe cut ties and Stowe says no I didn't. These people need a referee just to get them all to Court on time. You can't make this stuff up. That new courtroom comedy is not this good. LOL

I think they all knew ahead of time that FBI/TBI would not be available due to funding and Stowe is facing it (finally) head on with the helicopter and armed guards warning, possibly. jmo They have to know the threat towards the perps especially since 3 will be at the same place, at the same time in court. Who wants vigilantism on these guys? Mob type dudes?
The people, at least my op, want justice and truth & conviction. Prison for life without parole and can't remember if TN has a DP. Just get them tucked away asap. It's been drug out too long already with shady lawyer schedules (who's on probation, who has a law license or who's in jail) and trying to find out who all is connected per slip ups of the defendents...or non slip ups is more like it, except Dylan.
