Bless your grandmama's heart she had an almost impossible job.

We see how "Just say no" worked we have loss the drug war and IMO drugs are involved in this case.

Agree. It's was hard for youngsters during the Mcgruff -crime fighting -dog era as well as the intense Just Say No era to fend off the whole dynamics of the drug scene and all that it entailed.

But even though she knew the odds; It was still gratifying to her soul that as long as she could help direct one kid in the right path; Than so be it.

My Granny was a rebel. She moved from Virginia to New York in the 40s and didn't even let my Manly grandfather get in the way of her ambitions to help others.

Church every sunday. Work everyday. Reminders of being careful every minute. And making sure you have been fully warned of the evil that men do every second. She was God's gift to me. Jmo. But thanks for recognizing a honest woman who tried her best during the roughest times, Even if WH wasn't there to ponder on the future possible thinking and wrong doings due to the brain being on drugs. I salute.

Sorry I'm late... I had to get my daughter ready for prom.

I'm in Iowa and I'm sending lots of love to all those who love AJ. Fly high, beautiful girl.

Prom!! I remember those days. I have my youngest one about the graduate college in a few. YAY!! Oldest one is just finishing 1st year of law school.

I just wish A.J. had those high roads to conquer as she did her high school roads. :(

A little late, but better late than never, right?!?!?

Thoughts and prayers to AJ's friends and family from Denver, IA.

Tears flowing!!! Sissy's song by Alan Jackson

Why did she have to go
So young I just don't know why
Things happen half the time
Without reason without rhyme
Lovely, sweet young woman
Daughter, wife and mother
Makes no sense to me
I just have to believe

[Chorus]
She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me

Loved ones she left behind
Just trying to survive
And understand the why
Feeling so lost inside
Anger shot straight at God
Then asking for His love
Empty with disbelief
Just hoping that maybe

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me

It's hard to say goodbye
Her picture in my mind
Will always be of times I'll cherish
And I won't cry 'cause

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me

Don't worry 'bout me, don't worry about me

I thought of AJ's journey home when I arrived at work today.

Into the Mystic, beautiful heart.

With love, from Helen, Monrovia, California!

O/T - can I recommend a good book here (to any one who has dealt with a loved one with cancer or a new diagnosis)? It's called "Before I Go" by Colleen Oakley and can be found on amazon. Truly touching.

Thanks for this. Wanted to let y'all know...it is only $1.99 for kindle/kindle app right now.

One more for AJ: Thinking of AJ and her family tonight. Justice cannot come soon enough. Fly high, sweet girl. -Va Beach

I'm here for AJ for the remainder of the night. We're having drinks, a late dinner (casado) and listening to music. I Skyped with my youngest a little while ago - she lives in Osaka and while she thinks I'm nuts for being so involved in crime and other people's misery she and I cried together tonight for AJ.

We'll never know what the world will miss by AJ's absence. I'm sad. I'm angry. In three hours it'll be tomorrow here. I'll be coming out of the gate hot and heavy - ready for justice. And boy, do I have a lot to say.

Until then I'll be thinking about sweet AJ and how she was cheated out of all the things we take for granted in life...
