In June he was bugging celebrities to check out his music and claiming he was a veteran who just got back from deployment.

Now he is claiming to be a freelance producer and was tweeting members of the media. This is just some bored kid looking for attention.

IMO if we took all the people who grew up with dads who cheated and moms who were abusive, emotionally abesent, drinkers, enablers ect and said...it's ok honey you had a bad hand dealt to you, you are not responsible... our society would be even more screwed up. KC was an adult. She made her choices. She had options. To me there is no sense talking about rehabilitation, therapy ect because I feel she lacks the one component necessary for anyone who has made a terrible mistake in life and wants to change...a conscience. Call it PD, sociopath, whatever..it's not there. I don't think she is a threat to the general public, expect she will steal. I think she is a threat to those who are in her personal orbit and the next time she wants money, a new lifstyle and feels someone is standing in her way..a husband, a parent, pet or child.. and then I think there is the potential.

I dont think she will steal when she has her own money. Her stealing was out of desperation. jmo

Oh, I don't know that giving her up at birth would have prevented the Casey she became...but I do know first hand that there is psychiatric intevention available for children who are a danger to themselves and others...and it takes a parent with courage and conviction to get this help for their child. I have no respect for a parent that allows these problems to go untreated.

But we don't know what they did or did not do.
That's my point.

Lionel Dahmer didn't lie and cover up for his son's crimes, he was exactly the opposite- he personally apologized to his victim's families. He is a role model. If my daughter turns out to be a murderer, he's whom I would act like, NOT Cindy Anthony or Jackie Peterson or Anita Van Der Sloot!!!

I do not think there is anything wrong with graduating from an alternative high school! And it certainly doesn't mean you won't be successful in life! I chose that path for my own life because I was able to graduate a year before my class did. I am a business owner now and have been for 11 years. I am not a millionaire but eeeek, I don't really think high school determines the rest of your path in life. High school IMO is pretty insignificant in the big scheme of things.

Sorry, I wasn't commenting on that specific post, I should've made that more clear. I just meant that in general...I'm sorry for the confusion. I don't do "nature vs. nurture" arguments, because I don't believe that it is one or the other exclusively, so I would disagree with that post as well. :dunno:

While I would not shed a tear if Casey were struck my lightening, hit by a bus or shot by a sniper, I really don't think the public have much to worry about with her being free. She was accused of killing her child, not a stranger's child. She's certainly no Ted Bundy, although some here would beg to differ.

I'm as pissed off as the next person that she's walking free but let's face it, she's no Nightstalker or BTK killer. As long as everyone keeps their cheques locked up and no one impregnates her, she should be good to go! <tongue in cheek>

My advice for the people that seem to be having a difficult time coping with the verdict, take a break from here and the news, do something completely different, go to the beach, go camping...whatever to distract you from it.
Last week I was so mad I could spit nails, then I went camping for 4 days with no internet or tv and I am in a much better frame of mind and seeing things in a whole new light.

I agree that FCA is not a serial killer, she's more like OJ in that regard, a one-time event. However, she has exhibited unusual behavior, and anyone associated with her should be very wary. Her next downfall probably won't involve murder...it will be fraud, thievery, or the kind of crimes that finally landed OJ in jail.

Actually Dahmer himself expressed more remorse that KC ever had. Oh right she did not do anything. ANother example is the UNAbomber. It was his brother who alerted the FBI. Also his mother was so upset that she asked her son to contact every victim so she could apologize. You can love you child unconditionally, stand by them and still hold them accountible

I don't know if pschiatric intervention would have prevented this crime...but it would go along way towards me feelng sympathy for CA...as it stands, I have none...she failed society as a mother. We pay the proce for enabling children into felons.

I think being labeled an enabler may be subjective!! My brother became a felon and my Mother wasn't an enabler.

Cindy was an enabler. I just don't expect more from Cindy than she may have been capable of giving. Nor do I blame Shirley for Cindy's behavior as I believe this would be the trend being set here. Everybody now gets to blame the prior generation and no one is responsible for their own actions.

Sympathy for Cindy is a separate issue from blaming Cindy for Caylee's murder IMO.

Perhaps I missed it...but I have never seen or heard that CA got tx for a young Casey nor asked for tx after Caylee was born and the neglect, stealing and lying happened.

Exactly! I didn't see desperation...I saw a selfish young woman who stole because she was too lazy to earn money for the "extras" in life. Her parents supplied ALL the basics but that wasn't good enough for Casey. She wanted MORE....still does!
