LOL. The DNA of JonBenet's killer was found in several places on her body and has been entered into CODIS. When they get a match the killer will be revealed.
This case is kind of like the Amanda Knox case in that some "renowned" investigator walks in, looks around, and decides who did it based on his belief in his own infallibility.
> BTW, we don't have to guess as to what the parent of an intruder abducted child would do. We have Marc Klaas who showed us: his daughter was abducted from their home and he was under suspicion. We have John Walsh. How did Jessica Lunsford's dad act?
Klass had two witnesses to the abduction...
> And please dont give me this crap that they only focused on the ramseys.
Sorry, but they focused on the Ramseys and let JonBenet's killer alone, to enjoy his life uninterrupted by any pesky cops poking around. The only way we'll get justice from the BPD is if the killer forgets to look...
> On a side note...I seem to remember there being a story that happened in 1997 in Boulder where someone got into a home and sexually assaulted a little girl in her bedroom, and was never caught.
I remember Lin Wood mentioning it a few days ago on TV, and I have heard of it before...but I can't...
The problem isn't with Wendy Murphy. I can't stand her, but Fox News had the option of editing her tasteless comment out, and they didn't do it.
Maybe it was something that just slipped through. We'll see. I sent Kimberly an email and asked her to raise the bar a bit. I also told her I...
If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. That's what I do. Try not to say anything that you'll regret, and come back after you've cooled down. Remember, it is always going to be the same in here, so the same comments next year or the year after will bring the same responses, IMO.
The Ramseys daughter was dead. That would be the distinction between this case and the others.
After ten years, I do realize it is a waste of time to point this out.
Yes, somehow the ransom amount coming from JR's bonus has become a fact in many places, but it is actually just a theory. I can't believe posters can look at weird persons of interest like Oliva or Karr and not be willing to accept that they might ask for an odd amount. To Karr, it could have...
Ok, my apologies to Toltec. I should have posted that Toltec's post was completly unfounded and based on nothing instead of directing it at him or her personally. I shouldn't do that, and usually try not to.
I'm not jumping to any conclusions about Karr, but I do think each individual should take responsibility for his own actions. We should acknowledge our mistakes, apologize, then move on.
I've said this many times over the years, but here it is again - there aren't any rules that must be followed for writing ransom notes. There is no certification for the correct way to write a ransom note. It is entirely up to the kidnapper.
As far as the three page ransom note being too...
In the U.S., people are routinely convicted even though they have alibi witnesses. Sometimes the witnesses are lying, sometimes it is just another hurdle for the prosecutors to overcome.
I have a book about 50 unsolved cases in the Chicago area. One of the cases involved a guy who had 9...
Now that I think about it, the guy from the Daily Camera who met Karr in Paris and eventually hooked him up with Tracey might have remembered his name.
I'm not sure about that. The way they found him was mailing him something and hanging around the post office until he picked it up. Then they followed him home and arrested him. It isn't clear to me if they even knew who he was in RL until they saw him at the Thai post office.
Yes that is true. But Boulder is very liberal, and this confession might not meet their standards at the DA's office. It certainly doesn't meet my standards as a confession, especially since he said something like, "things aren't as they seem" at the end of his interview with AP.
He said he...
