Hello to Everyone:
Well, today is a sad day for me, for all the citizens of Robertson County, TN, and all the people who have missing loved ones and are awaiting news of what has happened to their precious loved one.
There was a search planned for my daughter Jennifer and granddaughter, Adrianna. This was to be a cadaver search by professional search and rescue personnel. The search was to take place tomorrow at the place where my children were last seen almost a year ago. This was a consented search by the owners of the property where they were last seen. We worked long and hard to prepare for the search and to keep it "quiet" at the property owners request. Special care was taken to insure that all the special request of these people were followed. This past Wednesday evening when the time came to get the official, written consent from them,
they canceled the search. They were very ugly about it and insist that no one can search their property. There has been somewhat of a search done of only a
small part of the property by the Robertson County Sheriff's Dept. in the past, but this search would have been very thorough and would have covered
all of the acreage owned by this family and areas adjoining their property. I have said all along that this search should have happened
immediately upon their disappearance and did not. I have not placed any kind of accusations on anyone, only the fact that that is the last place they were seen, that is where they lived and the fact that in my last contact with my daughter, the night before they vanished, she told me of a most horrible argument that was taking place there and expressed fear of the situation. For these reasons alone, there should be a proper search done. This is the second organized search that has been carefully planned and canceled at the last minute by these people. I ask, for what reason? What reason would they have for not wanting their property searched for two young girls missing from their care? Why is it that this family seems so unconcerned about what happened to these beautiful and innocent girls? The fact is, they seem angry to even speak of what may have happened to them. All very puzzling to our family, who have lived with this nightmare for way too long.
I am very concerned about the fact that there seems to be little concern from the community at large that this terrible tragedy has happened at their back doors and that it seems that there is nothing that law enforcement can do about it. Could someone else's child be the next victim? Has in fact the perfect crime been committed? Will they ever be found? Will we ever know what happened to them or will they be classified as simply, Missing Persons, forever? My children deserve more than that. They deserve justice! Will the people of the Robertson County community simply sit by and dare not get involved while we await the next victim? Neighbors in the Owens Chapel community have not offered help and some when asked have refused the simplest request from our family.
I personally have asked for help from everyone that I can think to ask, all the people that we trust to look after our children and our rights as citizens. No one has offered their assistance to this date. Imagine how you would feel if your child had vanished and no one would offer to help you. Shouldn't we consider just a little longer when we go into a voting booth to cast our vote for people whom we are intrusting our lives and the lives of our loved ones and neighbors?
I am asking that each and every one of you pass this on to everyone in your address book, no matter where in the country that they live. People have the right to know of the injustice in small town America.
God be with my children, my family, my friends, the officials in charge of bringing justice and the people who refuse to help or that have information about what happened to Jennifer and Adrianna.
