Authorities say a 17-year girl who didn't return home from summer school Thursday may have been kidnapped.
Norma Lopez was reported missing by her younger sister around 12:25 p.m. Thursday, Sgt. Joe Borja of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.
Witnesses reported that a green SUV was seen speeding from the area, and detectives believe Lopez may have been taken against her will, Borja said.
The 17-year-old attended a summer class between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. at Valley View High School, a little over a mile away from her home, according to Borja.
Lopez had planned to meet her younger sister and a friend around 10 a.m., but never showed up, he said.
Lopez was described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black and white striped sleeveless shirt and black "skinny" jeans, according to the sheriff's department.
