Did he work at the Safeway? I'm seeing conflicting reports.

Is it known if this was a stranger abduction or if any connection has been made as to Sierra knowing this guy? Was he obsessed with her? My first impression is he was obsessed with her. May he rot in hell.

I don't think he was arrested, like someone mentioned in the last thread in that wife beater shirt.

If you notice his mug shot, he has a red shirt on and in the raw video, the reporter asks one of the Det's if this man is the man in the Lamar disappearance and that Det is carrying a bag, that looks like it contains some more of his cloths.

I just think they needed to take pictures of maybe tattoos on his body and they took both shirts off and he only put one back on.

Very bittersweet...good that there's an arrest, but very sad that Sierra is not alive. I don't think he would be charged with murder unless LE has evidence that she's not.

I hope for her family's sake that they find her.

I'm confused, why would he be leaving headquarters in a car? Was it just a transfer, or do they have scheduled transfers daily?

I just think it's a transfer.
I think they questioned him there and booked him there.

ita Cazzie... Smith said they had probable cause for the charges of murder and kidnapping and that there is a lot of evidence (also abc7 video I posted upthread says that more details about dna etc will be released at the presser this morning)

Oh! My heart just dropped seeing this headline. I think most of us feared this news would come out eventually. But, I'm glad they have identified this person and that they will find her body so that her family can have some closure.

IMO, he has not told them where Sierra's remains are. SS is still asking for people to come forth that may have seen his car in a certain area.

LE is trying to determine where he could have put her remains by scouring the areas where his car was seen.

I dont think he is going to tell either unless they tell him they are going to put the death penalty on the table and then he still may not tell.

Regarding remains....I wonder if Safeway garbage containers for recycling & garbage have been checked for traces, as well as what ever dump their garbage and recycling ends up. Since he isn't exactly dressed as a checker, maybe he is a stock boy in the back area of Safeway, which would have lots of access to crates and boxes. iMO

More than two months after Bay Area teenager Sierra LaMar disappeared on her way to school, investigators said they have “a lot of physical evidence” linking her to a man arrested on suspicion of murder and kidnapping.

Antolin Garcia-Torres, 21, was taken into custody Monday at a Safeway in Morgan Hill, Santa Clara Sheriff Laurie Smith told reporters.

“We believe we have probable cause that he committed the kidnapping and murder of Sierra LaMar,” Smith said.

Sources tell KTVU detectives questioned Garcia-Torres for two hours about the missing teenager, trying to find out her location.

Authorities were mum when pressed for more details.

Sources said there is some DNA evidence linking Garcia-Torres to the clothing found in Sierra LaMar's backpack.

We have also been told that Garcia-Torres has been under around-the-clock surveillance since he was identified, including at his job and at his San Martin home.
