Caylee Anthony General Discussion Thread #79

My theory on the cancelled visitation: I feel this probably ties in with the reason no visits/phonecalls have been released since the Anthony's have been working with LE. I bet LE gave the GPs info to use when trying to get info out of Casey, probably aome evidence not yet realeased to the public, and gave them ideas of how to use that info when speaking to her. Soon as Baez found out the family was working with LE trying to get Casey to talk, he had her cut them off. How's that sound?

Plausible. I would have to say that as soon as she found out the Cindy was reporting everything they were talking about before the tapes even hit the air that probably made her mad too. She is sick of talking to the whole nation.

If she was trying to just get rid of the car, why not push it into a river or lake? The water would have gotten rid of all evidence including the suspicious uh..."pizza" smell. I think there may have been more to it than that.

exactly my point - i just didn't get down to your post

Hi all - I've been out of town all day and am just getting caught up. The whole thing with the names of the "supposed" friends being listed in whatever form of address list she kept with the names of neighbors REALLY confuses me. I know someone who used to do the EXACT OPPOSITE of that, but the reasoning there made since. The person I knew was also very dishonest and lousy person, but what he did in his phone book (hand written) was WRITE THE NAMES OF KNOWN FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS in his phone book with the PHONE NUMBERS OF HIS MISTRESSES. That way he had his dirty little numbers with him, but the names associated made it look legit. He got busted when his wife needed the number of a friend when he wasn't around and went to his phone book and called the number by the friend's name and got one of his girlfriends instead! That was horrible and dishonest, but it at least had some logic to it - putting fictious names with real numbers doesn't make sense to me. But then I am tired after traveling all day! I just found it interesting to see one liar doing the same trick but in reverse of something another liar had done.

Think simple....maybe it really did run out of gas & that not really where she intended to leave it......that's also why she had to call Tony for a ride.

I don't think simple with this case, it gets me no where.

Start chanting with me:
DNA! DNA! DNA! DNA! DNA! DNA!

Let's cross our fingers that they release it tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

((((Running around the campfire beating my chest and howling DNA)))))

My fingers and toes are crossed XXXXX

TxRose, I'm still working on the car timeline. But a couple of posters responded in the last thread that they did have the car back on the 15th, because Cindy stated she washed the pants before calling 911.

Ok thanks. Wow this thread goes fast. While you are typing, ten more people have posted! LOL. I am trying to tie down the dates myself. Not doubting anyone...just trying to reconcile discrepancies I have read!

It still doesn't make sense to me that she would be worried about washing the pants before finding Casey. Especially if the car smelled like a dead body! What if Casey had died in there? I could wrap my head around her washing them before LE looked at the car though. But this family does alot of strange things so who knows!

hookers are often viciously rapped by johns beaten and horribly abused. the johns know the hookers can't go to the police.

Oh definitely, I realize that. It was just an odd thought that struck me that someone would get pregnant from "rape" by a john. A pregnancy could occur without the rape in that line of work.

I still think pushing a car into a lake is a pretty dangerous thing, and hard to explain to the person who comes to pick you up. Parking lot/dead car is much more normal and easy and ready to hand.

pardon me, O/T but, does anyone recall, did they arrest Peterson before or after the bodies washed up?

While DNA evidence will help answer some questions in this case -- it doesn't prove pre-meditated murder.

I believe the police believe she probably drowned in the pool as a result of some sort of neglect. (This is from WFTV.com)

If they believe she drowned -- then it would probably be considered an accident. They can't really charge her with murder for this unless they get some better evidence (This is my opinion)

She could have borrowed 10.00 in gas or stolen 10.00 for the gas. And she obviously told TonE the car was broken down for a reason. She was not going to go back and pick up the car. She couldn't or didn't want to drive it anymore because it stunk.

I think that she would have at least tried to get gas into it. Most car thiefs don't happen to have extra gas in their back pocket. Leaving it on E is a bad idea if you want it to be stolen.
Basing that on the assumption that the car was on E, which I seem to recall seeing a few times, but I am not sifting through 100 some threads to find.

This is what gets me Suz- why do you clean out the car, tell LE about everything in them, BUT the gas cans, so why make that up to show her there on 6/24- except to show her NOT somewhere else??

Yes it could, but I was saying it would have been more tramatic to be raped and maybe she could have associated Caylee with that experience.

All research on that issue comes from heresay to tell the truth as reported. I personally it is critical to know though.. juxtapose that with postings and cells and the rest is fill in the blanks..

Thanks Blink, I think alot of it may have come out in the bond hearing. I'll have to rewatch it and link that.

But why did she drive it in the first place and how long had it been sitting and where?

I agree and I think we are all giving Casey WAY too much credit here... I personally don't think she is that smart.. I think she made up the whole story on the go while being confronted. She is probably like another Scott Peterson who never thought it would blow into such a huge deal. She probably figured mom and pop would go along with her story and "investigation" and not press her much.

I still can't get over the 911 call where Casey says to her mom "just give me one more day" and Cindy says "No, I've given you a month"... What did Cindy give her a month for??? To do what???

I have to give Casey a little bit of credit here: if you want a car to be stolen parking it in front of a check cashing place with the keys inside seems almost foolproof.

True, true... as long as she left these car thiefs enough gas to get on down the road. I mean, what car thiefs go around with gas cans waiting to fill up the car they're about to steal? lol

THe Craigslist posting would tie in with what I have speculated on about "illegitimate income". I still say Casey had to have money coming in somehow.

I too think something was going on otherwise how did she pay for the partying etc. I tend to not think escort only b/c it didn't seem like she was living such a lavish lifestyle. The brands of clothes that were taken through the Search Warrant alone show that..I mean she had a George brand which is WALMART..MOSSIMO...which is Target. The other brands were very normal..nothing out of the ordinary as far as cost goes.

It's not like she was sporting expensive clothing and she seems very hung up on her appearance..changing hair styles etc. JMO...
