I worked in the ER of a very busy level one trauma center.
I think teens should have to spend a night there before they can get their DL. Maybe that would have been a suitable punishment for her...nah, I doubt it woul have done any good.
I've been known to call non emergency dispatch when I see a child not buckled in. That's one of my BIGGEST pet peeves. Period. :mad: Child negelct, IMO.

In view of this information, she would not be allowed to be a dispatcher in the state of Louisiana. A dispatcher being charged with making harassing phone calls? How ironic.

Is this family allowed to get away with everything? Is everything swept under the rug?
 
Annette Sykes is the paternal ggma. Who is Katrina Sykes?
 
Do we know her age? Does she have children of her own, her 1st violation for Child restraint violation is 9/10/2002 with the last one 11/5/2008. Could she have been helping RC take care of the children and they were the ones in the car when she got these violations?

Lastly, helping a prisioner escape.....WOW

With that many citations in that short of time it seems like maybe the police had their eye on her....interesting.

Her habbit of running stop signs AND not buckling up children infuriates me!! There is no excuse for either, with that many convictions she needs more than a fine, thats child neglect! <sorry, I'm passionate about properly restraining children>

FL has a campaign called "Click It or Ticket" - a cop can pull over anyone for this violation alone (I verified this w/ my Dad, he's a D/S in Miami-Dade County).

DCF in FL leaves a lot to be desired for & that's saying it nicely.

I can't tell you the times that I have pulled over on a busy street and called 911 with a tag number of people who are holding toddlers in their arms in the front seat.
When I was 19, I was on my way home from a funeral down in Florida, and the 4th car ahead of me slammed on brakes. A child who was only 3 years old went right through the windshield, onto the pavement skidding for 40ft..died instantly. They were just going down the road to the store, so Mom held the child.. I'll never forget that as long as I live. Thank god a good friend of mine was with me, and went to check on the passengers in the car and came back to tell me not to get out of my car..I can still hear those brakes in my dreams.
Anything can happen, this just happened to be a dog running across the road.
