Defense Witness List

Don't know if this is posted somewhere already - sorry if it has but I look through all posts and didn't find it.

Is there a CURRENT Defense Witness list somewhere on this site? I have found all kinds of lists on the net, with revised, added and deleted witnesses but I can't find anything current.

I would like to see the same thing. Their original list, with Dr Lee and Dr K is now defunct. As are the 2 shrinks they tried to add at the end. So WHO do they have? I have heard they have their own botanist who will try and debunk the states botanist. And they have some witnesses to try and destroy Kronk and George. Anyone else?

Its so hard to go back and try to figure out where all the list are.. there are sooo many post lol

Sentinel wins battle for Casey Anthony witness list
Judge Perry rules against sealing names

"To the contrary, many potential penalty phase witnesses are presumably already known to the public at large and are already associated with this case," Perry wrote. "Release of any known individual's name could not possibly deprive the defendant of her fair trial rights.

"Even for witnesses not known," Perry said, "counsel's conclusory assertion that some witnesses may be reluctant to come forward is insufficient to demonstrate a real threat to the defendant's fair trial rights. Any penalty phase witness will testify in an open courtroom and be publicly identified with this case."

The defense has not shown the delayed association of those witnesses with the case will protect Casey Anthony's "fair trial rights," Perry concluded.

The list of penalty phase witnesses provided today does identify Casey Anthony's close family members, including her parents and brother, many friends, ex-boyfriends and others already long associated with the case. Included on that list are familiar names such as Jesse Grund, Ricardo Morales Anthony Rusciano, Anthony Lazzaro and Amy Huizenga.

 I was asking the very same question and had the same difficulty in finding a list of witnesses from the defense. I am kind of glad I was not the only one... :)

I figured I'd "just go get it" but I have been looking and not able to find a true document. :dunno: This article is the most recent I have found so far, but I will continue to look. I did look here at WS in our resource threads, but I have not looked at everything.

I want to know! :) It seems by this article, like everything else with the defense "smoke and mirrors" (copyright WS Astros).

Orlando, Fla. - A TV personality that was mentioned in Cindy Anthony's testimony Tuesday during her daughter's murder trial has been added to the defense witness list in the Casey Anthony case.

Stephen Watts, a blogger, television producer and TV host, who according to his Web site, has appeared on 'Inside Edition,' Nancy Grace's HLN show, 'On the Record with Greta Van Susteren,' and 'TRU TV,' was added to the defense team's witness list Friday.

What does a new list of defense witnesses in Casey Anthony’s case mean?

“That list is pretty brief,” WESH-Ch. 2 anchor Martha Sugalski said tonight.

WESH’s Bob Kealing agreed, noting that four of the eight names were expert witnesses. “The list would have been longer but Judge Belvin Perry denied the use of more tax money to pay for them,” Kealing added.

Kealing listed the experts: a Colorado plant expert, a Nebraska insect expert, a Canadian forensic anthropologist and a Florida International University professor.

WFTV-Ch. 9’s Kathi Belich also listed the experts and speculated that the defense will rely on the insect expert to “refute … damning evidence” that Anthony put daughter Caylee’s body in her car trunk. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in Caylee’s death.

Casey Prosecutor: New Defense Witness List Missed Deadline
State Wants New List Thrown Out Or Reasons For Late Filing

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Prosecutors say Casey Anthony's defense team didn't follow the rules when it submitted a new list of witnesses. The state wants doesn't want Judge Belvin Perry to accept the new list.

In a new filing, Assistant State Attorney Linda Drane Burdick writes that the deadline has already passed in the case for a new witness to be listed unless a good reason is provided. The filing asks for the judge to either require the defense to explain its reasons for the new witnesses or not allow any of them.

The defense's witness list in question includes so-called jailhouse snitches Robyn Adams and Maya Derkovic.

Also among the seven names listed, WFTV reporter Kathi Belich and Marvin Schecter, a lawyer from New York City.

The defense also wants to add two more people to the list – well-known psychiatrist Dr. Danzinger and a Boca Raton doctor.

The defense wants them to testify concerning Anthony's state of mind now that Judge Belvin Perry has ruled statements made by the young mother could be used against her at her trial.

------------any ideas who the dr. is from Boca Raton?

Who is this Ken Lewis guy? Apparently a prosecutor that can help the defense? WTH?

14. Dr.Jeffrey Danziger --Maitland Florida--Expert---Forensic Psychiatry--added Dec.30/2010

:bump: Because, this list "thing" is cRAzY! I don't know if there is a list for the defense at this point. IIRC, the defense was trying to add witnesses into the first week of the trial.

I do not remember what became of that, but IIRC it was the psych Dr.'s they wanted to add 'again'. They were added at one point but...right? Just as confusing as the whole defense. imo.

:websleuther:

Thank You Chiquita, for looking for all of that stuff. It really should not be that hard, but somehow they seem to be trying to keep their list under wraps. More smoke and mirrors.

I am still wondering what their Case In Chief is going to entail. The insect expert is going to try and say the blowflies were just after the 'garbage' in the trunk I suppose.

The forensic anthropologist, is a bone expert I imagine. Not sure what he will 'prove.' Wonder if he has a drowning theory to share with us. I cannot wait to see what they have waiting to reveal. lol

And the botanist will try and say the roots and plants were not really 6 months of growth, but were of shorter duration, showing that Kronk moved the body around, for some unknown reason.
