Does anyone know the minimum for what she is facing for accessory after the fact?

See if these women on death row stories answer the question whether you have to pull the trigger or do the killing to be executed. Tell me what you think.

Oh I know they can still execute based on level of involvement (without physically killing someone) I just didn't know if charges would be same.
I fully expect, if all this comes out to be what we think it is, I think she'll get the death penalty. Although, they could try for an insanity defense. Sometimes she seems insane.

remembering deedee had a self *advertiser censored* page

What? I must have missed this. You mean she had a *advertiser censored* site in addition to all th other shady dealings she's been involved with?:loser:

And I'm sure she's trying to bribe anyone she contacts to give her an alibi.

DD and her fellow heathons, you know that killing someone for financial gain qualifies for the death penalty right? You and anyone else who gained financially from his murder. It does not matter who pulled the trigger. There is this thing called the "felony murder rule".

Bumping the wonderful SuziQ's post :)wave: nice to see ya!), because I also believe Ms. DD qualifies for the felony murder rap as well as many, many, many others....child abuse comes to mind with the recent events as a good place to start. She will throw her own child under the bus for her own welfare, that to me anyhow qualifies for child abuse.

(b) If the offense attempted, solicited, or conspired to is a capital felony, the offense of criminal attempt, criminal solicitation, or criminal conspiracy is a felony of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.

(1) A person who has been convicted of a capital felony shall be punished by death if the proceeding held to determine sentence according to the procedure set forth in s. 921.141 results in findings by the court that such person shall be punished by death, otherwise such person shall be punished by life imprisonment and shall be ineligible for parole.

Thanks, Cholzch. Never saw that site before.

Actually, since she would be convicted of first a degree felony, the penalty is:

b) For a felony of the first degree, by a term of imprisonment not exceeding 30 years or, when specifically provided by statute, by imprisonment for a term of years not exceeding life imprisonment.

It was just stated on the news that the hole was dug by DM's ex husband. He is one of the "undisclosed witnesses" they keep referring to. Apparently (according to the news) he saw where they were digging for Abraham, contacted authorities and let them know that was the location of a hole he dug for her.

I kinda figured as much...looking at the timing of their divorce.

On docket: ORAL ORDER APPOINTING PD

I take that to mean a public defender was appointed?

That's what I take from that.
Her former lawyers, first of all, probably do not want to ruin their good names by being tied to her. Secondly, any lawyer would advise a client NOT to talk to the media. She dug herself a big ole hole by giving all those interviews. Probably too big a mess for the lawyer to even deal with.

Just my guess.

So, her last lawyer dropped her, Rusty Franklin. Does that mean the current lawyer, John (can't spell his last name) has dropped her? And does public defender mean the taxpayer is footing the bill for her defense? When she signed in the jail, she must have told them that Rusty was her lawyer because that's who was listed on that mug shot sheet. But I thought he was the one who said he dropped her. The John was on the phone last night talking about his client. Where'd he go?

They were separated for a long time prior to the divorce, I'm pretty sure....like several years. (I'm not 100% on this, but I believe that's the case) I'm sure it was kinda obvious, even from the outside looking in that she was involved with some stinky things. Don't know if that was the reason for the divorce, or if it was just coincidence.

Okay, I'm lost. Did I click the wrong buttons? Is it not a capital crime? I just followed the links and it got me to the death penalty.

By the way, I'm really glad you are here because you seem to have the answers to many of my questions. Even the ones I don't ask.

I understand what the maximum is, but what is the minimum?

What I mean is, is there anyway she can weasel out of this.
