I wish they would post a copy of the "Gloria" letter. It is not clear to me if the letter was to be sent to Gloria or if the decedent WAS Gloria. Is anyone able to get LE in St. Pete to post a copy for us (as if THAT ever will happen....)

Not much new. According to Namus, her DNA is now available, but no indication of what kind. With remains of that age, I'm guessing it's only mDNA, but that's not stated.

Hello, new and posting for the first time.
Could this be Charlotte Loomis who went missing from Eatontown, New Jersey on September 1, 1972? (She has a separate thread for her in Websleuths). The vital stats are very close.
I am aware that this UID was found in Florida (and known to be a runaway) but there is mention that Charlotte Loomis might have run away and she was apparently seen in Virginia for the last time. This UID is said to have links to Virginia.
The latest image of this Jane Doe shows a resemblance to Charlotte and the hair color could be termed strawberry blonde. The other thing is that they both seem to have big ears (don’t know how to phrase that) which is what caught my attention really.

Namus says Cynthia's eyes are blue, but they look brown in the photo. I guess another example of how misleading photos can be for identification...

It looks to me like a very possible match.

Every time I see this girl I wonder if she is my sister. So very much about her fits. Both her and Deb had a chipped front tooth. Both her and Deb had slight scoliosis. My mother had a sister named Gloria. May people (even today) do not seem to understand that WV and Va are not the same state. Many think WV is simply the western part of VA. Deb had beautiful long dark hair, and she loved colorful clothing.

The cons: Debs eyes certainly were brown, but they did compare other girls with brown eyes. Deb was taller than 5'1".....I know my parents estimated her at 5'6", and with me being the exception.....tallness runs in my family......but I'd have estimated her closer to 5'3" or 5'4". I can't imagine the sister I know being any part of drug activity.....but runaways do what they have to do to survive.

I wish I had an actual postmortem of this girl. It says she had a recognizable face, and heaven knows, it could not be any worse than the many other postmortems we have saw. Her recons drive me nuts!! They look like 2 separate people who are not even related.

I too would love to see the Gloria letter. I'd love to see the handwriting and I'd love to now what it says.

It is interesting that Charotte is from NJ since I found sometime ago that the Bromke family was from NJ and the doe had used the name Marie/Maria Bromke. It is possible that they knew each other but I'm not sure how possible since Charlotte was from Eatontown and the Bromke family from Cherry Hill. It looks like they are a couple hours away from each other.

New info found.

First of all, she had another alias, Janice Marie Bromke.
Also, she may have been from Virginia or NC. I think she was from Cherry Hill,NJ and I will explain why in a minute.

A 24 yo man named Lawrence was charged in her death right after the incident.

Anyways, so I ran Janice Bromke. First of all there are only 9 Bromke's on ssdi. Not a common name.

Well it seems that there was a Dorothy born 1923 died 1997, google news shows she has a daughter named Janice listed but it doesnt show where she is. Dorothy was married to Bruno he died in 1996. Bruno had a son named (suprise) Bruno, who was a doctor and died suddenly in 2003 at age 58, he has a daughter named Janice who lives in NY, I have her married name dont want to print it here.
SO..... I believe that Janice Marie Bronke is our Janice and that her brother Bruno named his daughter after his sister.
I also believe that this was a prominent family and the stigmatism that Janice ran away made them refrain from persuing her missing.
Also, I have found that alot of info is missing on many of our cold cases that I looked up on this google news website. I am not sure why this name was omited and if this is Bruno and Dorothy's daughter it makes me sad that they have passed on as has the possible brother.

Thank you. I kept looking at the old articles we have on her in the scrapbook my mother kept of all the girls found after Deb disappeared.....and I was not seeing that name in any of the original articles ....so it had me a little confused. I did try to read the article posted at the front of the thread....but as you noticed, the link no longer worked. Thank you for re-posting it for me.

I do realize she is most likely not my sister, but after this many years of looking......

She was just updated (Image added, age range corrected, circumstances updated) with the latest round of updates on DoeNetwork. The pic must have gotten to DoeN just shortly after they put it on NamUs.

The reconstruction is eerily "fresh" looking since she died four decades ago. It must be a morgue photo that's been Photoshopped. Still kind of creepy, though.

Cathy Marie Moulton went missing in Portland Maine in 1971. Her middle name is Marie, she is reported to have flat moles on her back, her date of birth is in June, and the physical description matches that of the girl that went by Janice Marie Brock/Bromke. I also thought their pictures look similar in some areas too.

The four teeth that the UID had removed were her wisdom teeth. Cathy was stated to have had her eye teeth removed, which are also called canine teeth, and are in the front. Cathy also had braces, which were not mentioned on the UID.
