Thank God they are safe!!! ACCP, the FBI and the GBI have done well to get all hostages out safely... Thank Goodness!!

I don't think they got them out yet, did they? I think they just verified that they are safe at this point...

I dont think they have them out yet but the police knows so far all the hostages are safe and unharmed.

I hope that continues to be the case.

I say get a sharp shooter and end it. Killing cops, holding hostages, no negotiations, take him.

I dont think they are going to do that since there are so many hostages with him including young children.

Imo, they will wait him out. He has to sleep sometime.

Suspected cop-killer releases some hostages

Accused cop-killer Jamie Hood released two men and two children shortly after 8:30 tonight as an edgy standoff continues in a northside apartment.

Hood and at least three women hostages remain inside an apartment at the Creekstone complex off Boley Drive.

Vernon Keenan, director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, just made a statement live now to Jamie Hood. Keenan stated if Hood comes out unarmed he will not be harmed.

ETA: (nevermind...) -- Ok some of this FB stuff I'm reading is private but I think what was being referred to as the news "lying" was that she was maybe saying that she didn't believe he had taken hostages. He was at family's house, IMHO. I hope I can say that much and have it not be against TOS or teasing...?

Well it is all up to Hood. They will not wait forever. He is going to have to come out or eventually they will make a move. I am sure the snipers have already had him in their cross-hairs. By now they have gotten a floor plan of that apartment.

If he continues to stall the snipers will bring him down if they get a clear shot.

They are very patient in these negotiations but everything comes to an end after awhile.

IMO, if he truly wanted to give himself up he would have already done it and it would have been during daylight hours so camera crews could focus on him and record it all as a way of insuring his safety.

If he is waiting for 'suicide by cop' and he waits long enough, he may just end up with a self fulfilling prophecy and go out in a manner similar to his brother.

He has already been in prison for 11 years (was it?). I am sure he has vowed to himself not to return, under any circumstances.

I will be truly surprised if this ends well.

Maybe that is why LE is giving him so much latitude, they do not want to fulfill his true wishes (IMO) 'to go out with a bang'.
