I wonder what this does for McCann? In on it, or a huge mistake?
Apparently, even though they had DNA found on Jodi that didn't belong to McCann, something told them he was in on it. It looks like while interrogating McCann and by using some less than ethical techniques, they lied to him about having a DNA link and asked him to give an explanation of how the DNA got there. The answers he gave were considered by them to be sufficient to lock him up for awhile. A year and a half later he's still in jail, they find the real killer with no connection to McCann, make an arrest and come out smelling like a rose while patting themselves on the back. You see how that works?
