ROGERS CITY, Mich. (WWJ/AP) - The search to locate a missing metro Detroit woman feared dead has headed up north.

Authorities plan to search inland lakes Friday near Rogers City in Presque Isle County as part of an effort to find 51-year-old Kimberly Dejohn, who was last seen May 14.

Authorities searched the area on Thursday using a cadaver dog, but nothing was found. Warren Deputy Police Commissioner Louis Galasso said the property, located about 210 miles north of Detroit near Alpena, belongs to a family member.

Police say Dejohn’s husband told them he last saw her when she left home following a fight. She was reported missing by her sister two weeks later, on May 28...

On Kim's FB page a friend was added 6/4/2014 which of course we know could have been a request prior to her missing. But I find it odd that a "Life Event" was also added 5/24/2014 stating she started working at self-employed. If the missing timelines are accurate then someone had access to her FB account IMO

that's disturbing about her status update etc..after her disappearance, LE seems to feel pretty confident that a crime was committed inside that home...who is the chick in the home and where was she during those two weeks? I'd love to see his text msgs....truly I would. I dont think she is alive but we've been fooled before...

A search of the area near Rogers City in Presque Isle County was expected to resume at 9 a.m., according to Warren Police Deputy Commissioner Louis Galasso. The search for Kimberly Dejohn, 51, is being focused on Lake Wilson.

Police searched various spots, including a marsh, for seven or eight hours on Thursday. Much of the area that was being searched belongs to the mother of Dejohn’s husband, Loyd Dejohn, who is a person of interest in his wife’s disappearance.

If they never find this lady, it won't be for lack of trying.

A cabin at the lake is owned by the grandmother of Kimberly Ann Dejohn. Dejohn, 51, was reported missing May 28 by her sister.

Green said a Michigan State Police cadaver dog made a “hit” while on the lake’s surface. Sonar equipment brought to that location then detected an object close to the spot that the dog focused on.

- didn't report her missing for 2 weeks
- claims she disappeared after an argument
- had her car towed
- put her belongings in storage

AND

- moved another woman and her young child into their home

And even with 2 weeks to work, he was unable to do a cleanup job sufficient enough to fool the cadaver dogs.

Careless, stupid, AND evil. He should do the investigators and the state a favor and just tell them where he buried the body now. MOO :cow:

The search for a missing Warren woman is heading back to metro Detroit after investigators spent a third day Saturday sending divers into a lake near Millersburg, near Rogers City up north.

However, Saturday's search showed no sign of 51-year-old Kimberly Dejohn...

Police no longer consider this a missing person's case. They fear the worst has happened to the Warren woman, but after three days of searching the lake area, detectives told Local 4 the investigation is coming back to Warren.

"Her husband had told me that they had a fight and police had been called and they sent an ambulance for a psych evaluation, and I had no reason not to believe it," Outman said.

She said she grew more suspicious when her stepdad told her he wanted her to come get her mother's belongings because he was moving another woman in the house.

"We finally came to an agreement that her stuff would go into storage, but that's when I thought she was in the hospital," Outman said.

The same day Outman filed a missing persons report, her stepdad was arrested on domestic violent charges.
