Misty Robbed at Apartment Complex

What Misty needs is to learn from her own mistakes. If these were illegal drugs, even an arrest and some time in jail would be preferable to od'g, dying, behaving recklessly or driving under the influence, causing the death of someone else etc... But one would HOPE AND PRAY that Misty learned better more responsible choices, learned something from a child going missing--or w/e became of poor Haleigh. :frown:

Honestly, if I were her, I can't blame her for wanting to medicate herself. I would be suicidal if people had said and done the things to me that's been said and done to this girl. I would be beyond consolable. The public humiliation has to be horrible. Hear how Nancy Grace talks about her so hatefully to her own husband. And he doesn't stop it nor defend her.

I don't think people will be happy til Misty is destroyed, and killed herself somewhere. Very sad.

since no arrests were made, does anyone think LE just didn't care since they saw Misty was involved. As the article states, during interviewing the one women, they just took off and left. What and why? That doesn't make a bit of sense, especially since there was bodily injury, and evidence of a physical robbery having just occurred. I wonder if LE escorted Misty to the hospital, if emergency assistance was called by LE.

Every cop show I've seen LE calls the ambulance to the scene. Wonder where these women are from, and where they currently live.

Not if the injuries are very minor, like bruises or scrapes. If the person tells the cops they will have it looked at, they usually accept that.
I'm glad Misty wasn't hurt, like shot or stabbed.

p-lez. Drugs and this sort of excusing attitude are more than likely what got Haleigh "lost" in the first place. JMO

It's not an excuse, it's a fact. Misty has been crucified publically for 8 months without a moments peace or break from it all. There's not a Doctor I know of that wouldn't write that gal a script right now for some anti-depressants, anxiety pills, all kinds of medicine. Haleigh is not lost, shes abducted or been harmed and hidden from being found. No excuses.

I am kind of thinking that this was a setup, someone knew Misty was going to get drugs...I think someone was hoping to get Misty arrested for having drugs on her.

Misty is making choices. She is quite resourceful. She managed to figure out where to go to get drugs. I sure don't know where to go in MY town. If Misty had money for drugs, she had money for a few nights in the motel-6 (don't know if there is one) until that RO was dropped.

Excusing this behavior is simply irresponsible.

I found Melinda on myspace and the white pages with her name, address and phone number. Her myspace shows a man and children in a living room. She's 22 years old, haven't seen a pic of her yet. No police records for Putnam County.

Her address is Crecent City, Florida, would that city be the same PCSO booking records?

Medicate herself? Come on Kool, you and I and everyone else posting here, know that if you need medication, you go to the doctor for a prescription, a remedy or referral, not to a parking lot.

I would go to a Doctor, to get any medicine I may need. I'm only saying I could see her need for it. Not her choices if she did try to buy them illegally

Brandy is "Dark Angel" on myspace which is set to private like Melindas is private. She's a nice looking female looking at her profile pic. She also lives in crescent city florida, her mood says, "Blessed" and she logged in today.

Man, even watching the video on all the "pain medication" clinics and walk in pharmacy's with sketchy paperwork and cash only policies makes one know you don't go to a dark parking lot to get relief.

I've never seen any of those here where I live. Guess it's different depending on where you live. "I wasn't thinking of Pain medications" LOL maybe some anxiety or depression medication.

You can get whatever you need in one of these places. They're all over Florida. Watch Oxycontin Express. It will shock you.

Shelters. I used to work in that arena. Clean, safe, regular meals, counseling, access to medical care. Salvation army, Rescue Mission, DV shelter, Catholic Charities, and on and on. That is where she needs to go if she wants to change her lifestyle. I think that right now she is free from the inlaws and she is having fun. But I'm afraid it will get her killed if she isn't careful.

This is the prime example as to why I think the police are doing a crap job with this case. Come on she was busted with crushed up drugs in her purse and was not arrested? You have to be kidding me. They could have arrested her and then questioned her right there and pressured her more on Haleigh.

I agree. The only thing is I am sure she completely denied they were hers.

I think the crushed bottle of pills was on the ground.

nonono. I meant it to mean: This 17 year old youth, has no where to go. Meaning she is being forced to stay probably somewhere other than where she would like to be as she can't go home to her family, her other family, Ron Cummings has forsaken her, her other friends Tim and Donna betrayed her, her Grandmother is several states away, she's a minor, no home herself.

An article was posted a few days ago, stating misty was staying with two friends, and I was wondering if these were the friends mentioned. But, I guess she could have just hooked up with them, knowing them from her past, or through family or other friends, or just recently met them.

She's got to stay somewhere, so when a person has no options, that's what I meant by "forced".

Maybe she CHOSE to stay with "Like minded" people as herself. It is well known that Misty is no stranger to the world of drugs. Maybe if people stop making excuses for her, she'll be FORCED to be held accountable for her actions. Then MAYBE she won't go down the same path as her Mom. I am no fan of Ron (don't believe he was involved in the disappearence though), but to say she was foresaken by him, I think is wrong. He has a small child that is missing. Maybe he is trying to take life a bit more serious, and having an immature 17 y/o around, is more than he can handle. There comes a time when some need to cut their losses while they still can. :banghead:

This is the prime example of terrible decision making.

It is only terrible in that people who are basically law abiding wouldn't make those decisions. People who arent' afraid to bend the law to get their way aren't afraid to break it when bending doesn't work.

Is there a shelter in Satsuma? I know the only shelter in the town I live in is a Battered Women's shelter and it's for women referred by LE and the court system. If you are homeless here, there is no where to go but a park.

I think the universe is trying to crack the whip on Misty. She better get her you know what together pretty quick.
