GUILTY NJ - Tierra Morgan, 2, drowned in creek, Wall Twp, 21 Nov 2011

He weighted down the car seat with a spare car jack to make sure the toddler drowned.

Appeared in court today with his head held high. Bail set at $10 million. Monster.

I heard this on the radio while driving home from work. Just horrible. I wish we had the DP in NJ.

I wonder if he felt belittled by her as she gave him money for gas and the movie. "I'll show her" type of thing. He sure held his head up high in court today.

RIP sweet baby

Arthur Morgan

Tierra Morgan-Glover was alive and alert when her father threw her into a stream, strapped into a car seat and weighted down with a car jack, authorities alleged today during his first court appearance on a murder charge.

Sorry to quote myself here. A bill has been presented to bring back the DP in Nj for henious crimes against children and cop killings.

Hope it passes and this monster is the first to test the new chair.

A man accused of tossing his 2-year-old daughter into a creek while she was still strapped in her car seat was indicted Monday on a murder charge.

Prosecutors say Morgan had asked the girl's mother if he could take Tierra to see a movie about dancing penguins. When he didn't return her after a few hours, the mother called police.

Morgan tossed the car seat, with his daughter strapped snugly inside its protective belts, from an overpass into the chilly water of the creek. To ensure that it sank, he had attached a car jack, the heavy metal contraption used to raise a car's chassis to change a flat tire.

He should have jumped off a bridge instead instead of tossing his breathing baby into a creek to drown. What a cold-blooded monster. He murdered that poor little baby last November, and was caught and put behind bars. I hope he never gets out of prison.

I had to clink on the link to see this precious angel. What a beautiful little girl. I don't know why but I always feel I owe it to the child to at least look at their faces.
Silently tell them how sorry I am that this happened.

He not only murdered his child but he did it in such a horrible way. You know she suffered. I can't think of anything that could be done to him that would be punishment enough for what he has done. I do hope he serves the rest of his life in prison.

Prayers for the mom.

RIP little angel.

Update on this monster's trial.

http://news.yahoo.com/lawyer-dad-doesnt-deny-tossing-toddler-creek-145122384.html

In his opening statement, defense attorney Ryan Moriarty told the jurors their task is to decide "what form of homicide applies to this defendant."

"We're not asking you to presume Arthur Morgan innocent of responsibility," he said. "It is our contention that he did not act knowingly and purposefully on that day but, rather, recklessly. Can your ability to think clearly be affected by lack of sleep, losing your job, staying in your car? By homelessness, by the end of a major relationship in your life?"

Yeah - its everybody else's fault but this monster's.

Here's a good summary piece with updates.

He's obviously mentally ill.

This is one of the stories that will stay with me forever. I still think of her after these years.

Yea it's just pure evil. It doesn't take a talent to kill a child just evil.

I guess it's the social worker in me. I just can't believe there are just purely evil people out there or else I could not do the work I do.

I would have to disagree. Just because people are not 100% evil, makes them no less evil. IMO
*****i hear Hitler was a huge dog lover.****
Sometimes the evil wipes away any shred of decency a human may possess.

One job I had, I wrote parole plans for inmates charged with murder or manslaughter. After serving 25 to 40 years (just my clients) I learned a lot about evil and rehabilitation and recidivism. It's not as black and white as you think.

Considering we both come to the table with different work and life experiences I can respect your opinion, I certainly do not share it.
