Cuyahoga County prosecutors have indicted Rashad Hunt for voluntary manslaughter, felony assault, gross abuse of a corpse and obstructing official business.

The charge of voluntary manslaughter says Hunt acted with "sudden passion" or a "fit of rage" leading to the death of Bryant.

Hunt’s arraignment date is July 19.

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley said in a news release that Hunt confessed to killing Bryant.

"Unfortunately, another teen in our community has lost their life," O'Malley said. "My condolences go out to the family of Tierra Bryant. It is my hope that at some point in the near future her remains are recovered so that she may receive a proper burial and to assist this family in the healing process."

Body found in Elyria near Tierra Bryant search site

Authorities confirm they have found a body in the area where they've been searching for Tierra Bryant. The remains have not been positively identified, but Bryant's family has been notified that a body was found.

ELYRIA -- The skeletal remains found in a wooded area Thursday morning have been identified as Tierra Bryant, the Lorain County Coroner's Office confirmed.

Bryant was last seen in Middleburg Heights in 2015. A coroner's office official says that dental records comparisons and two visible tattoos were used to identify Bryant.

Man pleads guilty to killing, burying Tierra Bryant in Elyria

Rashan Hunt, 39, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, tampering with evidence, offense against a human corpse and obstructing official business.

Hunt faces anywhere from three years to 25 years in prison.

He is set to be sentenced April 9.

Man who pleaded guilty to Tierra Bryant's murder sentenced to 23 years in prison

The Elyria man who led investigators to the body of Tierra Bryant, a woman who disappeared in 2015, and pleaded guilty to charges in connection with her death has been sentenced to 23 years in prison.

On March 15, Rashan Hunt, 39, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, tampering with evidence, gross abuse of a corpse and obstructing official business.

Bryant's mother Tameka Car described her family's suffering, not knowing what happened to the 19-year-old for years. She said Hunt treated Bryant like a dog.

"Nobody's going to be the same. Nobody's going to be the same because of him," Bryant's father said through tears.
