OR OR - Mark Bosworth, 54, Riddle, 16 Sep 2011 - Cycle Oregon volunteer

I feel so much sadness for the Bosworth family! I can't imagine where Mr. Bosworth may have gone. I am still hoping someone will recognize him and help him get home.

I just read several of the articles and parts of Mark's own blog. What a frustrating mystery for his wife, daughters, other family, and friends.

Blessings to them all, and prayers for Mark's safe return to those who love him so much.

hey websleuthers! please sign this petition to encourage NBC Dateline and affiliates to cover Mark's case: http://www.change.org/petitions/dateline-nbc-air-a-story-on-missing-oregon-cyclist-mark-bosworth-2

You can also help by volunteer to call hospitals. Find more info out at: findmark.org

I know our wonderful community of knowledgeable people passionate about the missing and unidentified can help spread the word and encourage national media attention, which is so critical to help find Mark so that he may receive the medical care he needs.

Tips come in from Indiana, elsewhere

Law enforcement continues to run down any and all tips coming into the tip line, no matter how far away. A Douglas County Sheriff's Office detective followed up on a call today about a man matching Mark's description along I-80 in northeastern Indiana, near a travel plaza. The caller had made a stop at the plaza yesterday morning on his way from Chicago to Ohio and heard two women at the shop talking about a man who was acting oddly. The caller then spotted the man near the interstate. It wasn't until he was returning to Chicago late last night that he saw Mark's missing persons flier and thought the man he saw could be Mark. We haven't heard from authorities whether they have been able to verify if the man was Mark or not.

People have put up fliers in cities and along highways in areas throughout the U.S. That awareness is important and gives us hope that someone is going to see Mark, know it is him and immediately call 911.

I live in Mark's neighborhood and my son went to school with the younger daughter. I saw her today out walking and I felt so sad. My prayers are with this family so that the find their husband and father very soon. It just breaks my heart.

It has been seven weeks since 54-year-old Mark Bosworth disappeared from a small town in Southern Oregon while working as a volunteer for the Cycle Oregon bike tour.

"The most likely scenario is the cancer he battled twice before returned to his brain quickly and has claimed his life by now," Bosworth's wife, Julie, said Friday. "However, the girls and I keep hoping and wishing we will find him and don't want to discourage anyone from any continuing efforts to find Mark."

Bosworth, a mapping specialist for Portland Metro, vanished Sept. 16 from a campsite in Riddle for Cycle Oregon riders. His wallet, containing his credit cards and driver's license, were found in a coat he left behind.
